Together And Apart

Chpt.1

Ashley's POV

I woke up and I did my morning routine, go on my phone, then get ready.

As I headed downstairs to make a bowl of cereal, I heard my phone ring.

I ran up and I was from a random number. I picked it up and I heard the same accent as my friend online.

"Bee!" I screamed at her and and she laughed lightly at how I reacted.

My mom screamed from downstairs, but I ignored her as always.

"Hey Ashley." she said breaking my little silence of ignoring my mom.

"Hey Bee." I said more casually. "How'd you get my number?" I asked.

"Oh. I was looking in your Instagram and I saw ur post and it had ur number on it, so I gave it a try." She laughed again and said, "Sorry, I sound a lot like a stalker."

I laughed with her, and we started talking about the most random things. After about almost an hour, my stomach growled and I heard someone yell on her side of the line.

"Mitchell! Shut up! I'm talking to someone!" she screamed at the person in a nice way.

"Oh sorry." he said not really meaning it.

After that intrusion, she told me that was her roommate Mitchell, also known as StrauberryJam. He was a youtuber and also played minecraft. After telling me about him, I had to go and end the call since my mom wouldn't stop yelling and it got annoying.

"Bye Bee. I gotta go. Hopefully we can play on a server again!"

"Yes! I can't wait. Bye Ashley."

I walked downstairs and saw my mom yelling at Nash, my twin brother. My mom had always favored Nash more and it was kinda sad. She didn't care that much of me, since I was the mistake. They only wanted a boy and instead they got twins, so they kept me.

She ended up having 2 more kids after us, Hayes and Sky. She favored Sky more after Nash, because she quoted "she was her precious bundle of sunshine". I was mad and all but it all went away.

I was obsessed with the internet. Nash was a viner and he became famous and he never told anyone about me. He thought I was disgusting because I was a mistake. I was basically the same flesh and blood he is! But the anger all got away, I was too busy with my new friend, and still no one knew me.

Me and Hayes are practically best friends. We both are the "mistakes" she didn't want to kill. I took online schooling because I knew people would look at me different like my mom and Nash. I couldn't be hurt anymore.

Me and Sky though, we have a weird relationship. We'll play horses and dolls together, but she won't say a word to me if were with my mom and Nash, but it doesn't matter.

My birth father, died in a car accident and no one really cared but me and Hayes.

Sky's father, came around here once in a while and he even looked at me weird!

Anyways, back to the present, I saw my mom yelling at Nash since he was packing to leave on tour, again. He was always over with his friend Cameron, and god was he cute! I was forbidden to go out of my room when Cam was over, so Nash wouldn't feel embarrassed. Hayes always kept me company anyway, so it didn't matter.

As I took a few more steps down the stairs, towards my mom and Nash, I saw Cameron.

I knew he saw me, his face was full of shock and fear as he saw me. Someone in his best friends house. I pressed my fingers against my lips to signal him to keep quiet, but he screamed.

My mom looked around at me, and her face was full of anger. "Grace Ashley Grier!" she said telling off the top of her lungs.

"Grier?" Cameron looked at us shocked and confused.

I ran upstairs and locked myself in my room and went to the bathroom. I got out my blade and I stared to cut my wrist, that already had scars.

1 for my mom hating me
2 for Nash hating me
3 for not keeping quiet
4 for Cameron knowing

I always did up to 4, but I never did more than 8 in one day.

I placed some bandaids on my freshly cut wrist and I sat by the side of my door, crying myself to sleep.

I awoke to my phone ringing and I answered it.

"Hello?" I said sounding depressed.

"OMG Ashley! Are you okay?" a girl said in the other line.

"Yeah...sorry I was just really tired." I said realizing it was Bee.

"Oh." she said as she laughed. That girl was funny and up all the time. " Well I have good news!"

"Really?" I said getting my spirit up a little.

"You're invited to be on The Cube SMP for Season 2!" she said basically yelling in my ear.

"Really?!" I was surprised but I had no idea what it was. "Ummm...Bee?" I asked.

"Yeah?" she said confused.

"What's the cube?" I asked and she laughed again as I smiled into my phone, I had a best friend, I never had one before, except Hayes, but now I had a real one.
