While eating, you were thinking on what to say next to Norman. You had formed the first part of your plan, but what was going to be the rest?

You felt a tapping on your foot beneath the table.

The movement of the tapping immediately translated sentences in your mind, as if you'd  known how to decipher this "language" for years.

Morse code.

A distinct memory you had recalled was speaking in morse code with Ray. After the discovery, you had the idea. It was perfect, you could communicate without being under suspicion. Because of this, you two had kept your friendship a secret for a long, long time.

You answered Ray under the table, moving your foot, forming an indirect conversation with him.

'You alright?'

'Im fine. Nightmare.'

'Okay. Want to talk about it?'

'Already talking to Norman about it. Thanks though.'

He slightly frowned at your response.

'Norman? Since when do you talk to him?'

'He saw I was shaken up  and offered. Dont worry.'

'Alright, be careful.'

Your lips tugged to form a small smile.

'I will.'

You and Ray are close friends, from what you recalled from your memories. It was comforting to know a character you loved cared about you in the same way.

After you had finished eating, you helped clean up until you sensed someone's presence behind you.

"Hey, you wanted to talk about your nightmare?"

You turned around and smiled.

"Yeah, let's go outside."

During breakfast, you had thought about what you were going to say next. It wasn't the best lie, but being under pressure and in a completely new world had taken it's toll on you. It was good enough for it not to be suspicious.

The two of you arrived outside and sat down leaning on the tree.

"Well, to start off, the nightmare began when I was in a dark room. I couldn't see anything. I started walking around, trying to find a source of light. Throughout the entirety of it, I felt like I was being watched, like there were a million eyes just... staring at me."

You took a deep breath, nervous about lying to him.  Norman hadn't said anything so far, he had simply been attentively listening to your story.

"Eventually, I saw a tunnel of light. I was running to reach it, and the moment I would have put my foot past the boarder something stopped me. I was frozen in place, and... the person was...

Isabella. "

You turned to see Norman, his face now twisted with one of shock. You took in a small breath and stared back at him with wide eyes.

You had made a mistake.

He wasn't looking at you in disbelief because you had said the person in your dream was Isabella, he was looking at you because you had said her full name.

No one in this house ever calls her by her proper name, either by 'mom' or something along the lines of such.

You looked closer to his eyes, analysing his behaviour. Even with his face painted in shock, his pupils were not dilated. His eyes reached deep in yours, trying to figure out your intention. He was  studying you like you were a mere book he was reading.

You had to make an excuse, and fast.

Right before you were going to open your mouth to blurt out one of the many excuses swarming your head, a shadow loomed over you and the white haired boy.

"Norman, Emma's looking for you. "

You looked up to see Ray, looking down at the two of you with his book tucked under his arm. Norman stopped looking at you, putting a smile back on his face.

"Thank you, ill go look for her." He got up and left, leaving you and Ray alone.

"What happened Y/n?"

You looked up at him, mentally thanking the God's for saving you, yet frustrated you had to explain yourself again.

"I... I just slipped up." You looked down, refusing to look at Ray in the eyes.

"Lies. What happened?"

Sighing, you got up and looked at him.

"I just slipped up. I know, he's suspicious of me now but he won't do anything. The most he'll do is keep an eye around me."

Ray's eyes narrowed as he frowned.

"What about our communication? Just talking to you in the open now is a risk. Won't he find out?"

"We are behind the tree, no one can see us right now. Everyone's playing tag. And I'll make sure to be careful. I promise. "

He looked at you with uncertainty, but walked away and went back to his original spot as he leaned against the tree.

You went back inside, heading to the library.

'That was close. The worse thing Norman will do is suspect me as traitor when he find's out, and for Ray, worse case scenario is that I tell him I'm not from this reality. He would understand, at this point anything is possible for the people in this world. '

Going around the house, you were memorising where everything was. It wasn't as hard as it should have been since you had re watched the show at least five times. In hindsight, you knew where everything was already, but you had nothing to do anyways.

Opening the door to the library, you looked around a while trying to find a comfortable space to relax in. You end up finding a corner in the upstairs section. You grab some pillows and blankets from the first floor of the library and bring it there. The even better part is, your corner was right next to your favorite category of books.  You grabbed the one with an intriguing title and began reading.

                                                                                          --------

After an hour, your eyes began to grow tiered. You put the book down, positioning yourself in a comfortable position. You closed your eyes and after a few minutes, you fell asleep on a makeshift mattress of blankets, your head resting on the soft pillows as you sighed contently.

Right before you fell asleep, you felt someone come up the ladder. You had felt a pair of hands carry you. It had been so incredibly long since you felt this feeling. At this point, you weren't sure what was real anymore. How was it possible? How did you wake up in a world you have only ever dreamt of for so long? You didn't care anymore, you loved every second. The mystery person's footsteps echoed through the hallways lit with candles, the light occasionally hitting your eye lid. The person gently tucked you in your bed, caressing your head as a soft, familiar humming followed.

You felt at peace, finally, you felt even a little bit safe in this world of demons and blood. You knew you would have to face that side eventually, but for now, you slept peacefully in your own world of warmth and comfort.
