"LIAN!!!" My mother screamed. Tears filled her eyes as she saw me standing on the edge of the roof of a 12-floor building. "Sweetie, what are you doing?"
"How did you find me, Charlotte?" I asked as I stared at the view below my feet. I can only see the outlines of the people below and lights of vehicles and of the street lamps everything else was pretty much dark.
"I followed you here, now would you please get down." I heard her footsteps come closer to me.
"If you take a step further, I will jump." I threatened. In all honesty, I was going to jump anyway whether or not she comes closer.
"Lian why are you doing this?"
I have a never ending list as an answer to her question but in one word, Life.
Life was why I'm doing all of this. It was unfair and cruel and people surround me ready to tear me up limb by limb. I started to think I was the only sane one. Everyone else was plain mad.
I smiled as I felt the cold night air hit my face. I felt free as a bird, I felt as if I can actually fly. Is this the taste of freedom? The thought of death left a smile on my face. I was finally going to be released from the chains of cruel reality and set free unto the loving arms of the devil.
"For the love of God, Lian please get down from there. You're making me worried." She pleaded.
"Goodbye Charlotte." And goodbye lunatics.
"LIAN PLEASE! NOO!!!"
I'm finally happy.
