Without noticing his grasp on Shina's hand had loosened.  And didn't notice when the small hand had pulled itself from his grasp.

Seeing that everyone was distracted by the food, Shina took this chance to look around.  But what she wasn't expecting was that she would end up being pushed further away from her family from the amount of people there in the mall.

One minute she was with her family, and the next she was swept away by a sea of people and lost sight of her family.  She didn't even know where she was at the moment.  It baffled her that no one seemed to notice a small child being pushed around as they walked by her.  And given the fact that she wobbled at every push and would end up hitting people in the legs.

She felt terrified at the thought of being separated from them.  She was just a child, and there were so many crazy and perverted people out in the world, who is to say that there couldn't be such a person in the mall at the moment and happens to find her.

Dread filled her as she took shaky steps around.  Her dark brown eyes darting around the place looking like a small, scared animal in front of car lights.  Her hair brushing her cheeks at each move, since her hair was in small pigtails on each side of her head.

She wanted to find someone she knew, even the neighbor would be okay.  She had seen her neighbors' countless times when she as outside in the yard with her parents.

But she didn't see anyone.  She was scared.  And rightfully so.

Her eyes began to tear up and began to let out small hiccups as she cried.  Her small hands took fistfuls of her purple shorts, before reaching up to rub her eyes.

He had been sent there on a mission, and it was bothersome to be honest.  It was too crowded for his liking.  But as long as he got his job done, he'd be able to go buy whatever he wanted to eat.

Though he was curious and confused why he would be sent so far away from Tokyo.

"Those old geezers." He muttered to himself as he walked with his hands in his pockets and pitch-black sunglasses on the bridge of his nose.

As he walked around following the cursed energy left by the cursed spirits, he came across a small child in the center of the walkway.

He didn't particularly care, but what caught his attention was the cursed spirt that had shown up near her.

He took his hand out of his pocket, ready to flick his finger and get rid of the spirit.  But something unexpected happened.

The child began to cry.  And at the first cry, the cursed spirit disintegrated.

He didn't know if it was just a coincidence, but he did notice a faint feel of cursed energy from the child.

It was then that he noticed that there was no one near the child.

'Is she lost?' He mused to himself as he walked closer to her.

Once he was in front of her, he kneeled down to get a look at her, "Hey." He slightly pulled down his sunglasses.

The little girl jumped, and her head quickly shot up in shock.  Her pink pigtailed hair moving around as she did so.

He was met with bloodshot eyes from crying and rubbing her eyes.

"Hey."

Hearing a voice so close to her terrified her.  She quickly raised her head in shock and fear, ready to see some creep trying to take her away.

But that was not the case.  She wasn't met with someone like that.  Sure, this person was a bit odd, but he wasn't someone she should worry about being used as some tool to sell.
