Season 1 Episode 1 - Nothing To Fear

Rüna Flokidottír is walking through the small village of Kattegat as she approaches a small cottage and smiles as she acknowledges her Father building a boat and Floki grins once he acknowledges his only child and says "Ah my precious Rüna, where have you been?" Rüna says "I have been with Grim" and Floki grumbles and says "I wish you would stay away from him" Rüna rolls her eyes and says "Father, we have spoken about this. I am with Grim, I wish you would give us your blessing" and Floki says "He will hurt you, my dear child" and Rüna says "No he will not, we love each other"and Floki scoffs as he continues to build his boat and says "Love? You're only a child, you do not know what love is" and Rüna rolls her eyes in sighs in annoyance.

Grim walks into The Great Hall as a young Ubbe runs past him and Grim chuckles as Ragnar approaches Grim and Ragnar simply nods at Grim and says "Grim, we are going to Raid England. Are you going to join us?" Grim smirks and nods and says "Certainly, you can count on me" and Ragnar nods and says "Now if you will excuse me, I have somewhere to be" and Grim nods to Ragnar as Ragnar walks past Grim, out of The Great Hall.

In the forest, Ragnar is standing with his sword in his hand as Rüna walks towards Ragnar and Ragnar says "Where have you been?" Rüna says "I apologise for being late Ragnar, I was helping My Father" Ragnar steps forward and says "Very well. We must begin" and Rüna nods and takes ahold of her sword and Ragnar and Rüna raise their swords and their swords clash as Ragnar is training Rüna.

Helga walks into The Great Hall to see Aslaug sitting on her throne, Helga approaches Aslaug and Aslaug smiles to Helga and says "Hello Helga, Floki is not here" and Helga says "It is not Floki I am searching for, Have you seen Rüna?" Aslaug stands up and says "Why yes, she is with Ragnar. Ragnar is training her" and Helga nods and groans and Aslaug asks "Is there a problem?" Helga says "I am grateful for Ragnar, how he has taken Rüna under his wing and trained her for all these years but I worry for her. I do not want my Daughter to die in battle" and Aslaug places her hand on Helga's shoulder and says "Rüna is in safe hands, I have seen her training with Ragnar...you have nothing to fear" and Aslaug warmly smiles to Helga.

Grim approaches Floki's hut and knocks on the wooden door and a moment later, Floki answers the door and Floki looks Grim up and down in distaste and Floki says "What brings you here?" Grim asks "I was wondering if I may speak with Rüna?" Floki replies "She is not here, she is with Ragnar....training" and Grim nods and turns around and Floki says "You have been dating Rüna for a while now? What interests do you have in my Daughter?" Grim deeply sighs and turns around and faces Floki and says "I love Rüna, she is amazing do not worry I will not hurt her" and Floki says "My Daughter is a smart and strong girl, but she has been known to be manipulated in the past. Rüna has only been happy with one lover and that is Björn, and when he departed with Lagertha...his departure broke her heart..she is only getting over the heartache now. Let me be clear so we understand each other, if I discover you have hurt or have mistreated my Precious Rüna in any way, I will not think twice to kill you in the most brutal way" and Grim smirks and says "If you laid a finger on me, Rüna would never talk to you and I would hate to come between a Father and a Daughter especially a Father and Daughter so close as you and Rüna are" and Grim chuckles deviously and walks off and Floki glares at his Daughter's Boyfriend.

Rüna walks into Floki's hut to see Helga and Floki eating a meal and Helga says "Ah there you are, where have you been?" Rüna sits beside Floki and Helga at the table as Rüna answers "Sorry if I am late Mother, I was training with Ragnar and then I met with Asmund" and Floki nods and asks "How is Asmund?" Rüna nods and says "He is fine Father" and Floki says "We must speak Rüna" and Rüna asks "Oh? What of Father?" Floki and Helga look to each other and Floki says "It concerns Grim" and Rüna rolls her eyes and says "Father must we speak of this?" and Floki continues "Listen to me Child, Rüna you are our only child and it is our job to take care of you. Grim is not the one for you, he will only hurt you and give you heartache" and Rüna groans "Father we love each other" and Floki says "Yes you may love him, he does not care for you Rüna" and Rüna shakes her head and says "Father you do not know him to pass judgement on him! In the future I am going to marry Grim and have his children" and Floki says taken back "Certainly not!" Rüna stands up abruptly and slams her hands down on the wooden table and shouts "YOU CANNOT CONTROL ME! I WILL CONTINUE MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GRIM! WHETER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" and Rüna marches off into her bedroom. Helga looks to Floki as Floki looks in shock and Helga says "Give her time to calm down, just have patience" and Floki shakes his head and says "Grim is going to hurt her Helga and I cannot allow that to happen, we have to protect her" and Helga nods and says "and we will I promise" and Floki stares at Helga.
