I tug slightly on Rainbow's waistcoat.

"Why is that shocking?" I whisper to Rainbow.

"Because the competitions usually take place in one region's casino which also means only casinos in that said region participate. This year we were all fighting for a global title, so best casino across regions. That's the ultimate status for a casino, true proof you are the best." Sora 'gladly' answers. A deep red blush blossoms across my face from pure embarrassment, especially after being told not to talk.

"Your Miracle, right?"

I nod my head "Y-yes ma'am."

"Small but you look like you could be fast on your feet." Sora gets up, I immediately feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn to see Rainbow looking tense, a small glare placed on their face.

My eyebrows quirk in confusion, Sora halts and stares back at Rainbow. Two neutral faces, no expressions being exchanged, but a whole conversation seems to be happening just using their eyes.

The 'conversation' seems to come to an end at the sound of Chip clearing his throat, a clear sign that he wanted this conversation to get moving.

"Okay well thank you so much for announcing this to us Sora, very much appreciated!" He got up and started pushing her towards the exit.

"You made a big deal about me coming here and now you want me to leave?"

"Yep!" His voice was cheery to deter attention from the obviously tense atmosphere created by the two most monotone looking people.

"Is it because of..." She drifted off at the end of her sentence, only making me wonder what the 'because of' is about. So many questions, very little answers.

"Yep! It was a bad idea letting you in here!"

"So why would you gather everyone when you knew what problems could possibly arise?"

"One, cause I'm an idiot-"

"Agreed."

"Two, cause I thought you both would have moved past that-"

"Falsehood."

"SO, thank you so much for visiting, it was real nice seeing you, thanks for the info and update on the competition. We're gonna now get ready to beat your ass, have a good evening buh-bye!" With that rambling out of the way he pushed her through the exit and before she could protest he proceeded to slam the door loudly in her face.

Meanwhile we all stood there slightly dumbfounded by what had just played before us, it's in these moments where I wish I had a bucket of popcorn. Chip turned around back to us a dumb grin plastered on his face he waves his hands dimissively, making me confused until I turn around to see the casino patreons eyes on us six.

I wait around for a moment half expecting for Sora to swing the door back open and walk through giving Chip a piece of her mind about what he just did. Yet alas, I guess Sora knows when she isn't welcomed anymore, all that hype for her arrival only for me to have seen her for a total of what 5-6ish minutes? What a waste of my non-existent time.

I turn around to leave and bump into a tall and large figure looming over me, it was Chip. 'Well crap.' is all I could think.

"Why were you late?" He growled, phrasing it as a question yet sounding like a demand.

"I- Uhhhh... I got-um." I swallowed thickly, my eyes darting at anything in the room except for his eyes.

"Look at me." A demand.

"Okay so here's the thing-" I tugged at my shirts collar slightly, despite the casino being anything but warm "I know this is going to sound really stupid but, the reason I was late is because I got lost." Nothing is said, a few seconds pass without a word being exchanged.
