~~~~~~~~~~~♧Chapter 12♧~~~~~~~~~~~
Start from the beginning
They then proceed to grab Miracle by the shoulder and somewhat gently push her in front facing me, instead of cowering behind the zombie giant.
I finally cracked, if I was going to stare at her dumb little goat face, it was going to be only during the two minutes where I have to teach her how to do my job. Not that she'd be able to ever do it as well as me anyway.
I glare at her for another good minute, Rainbow interrupts me.
"Chubby, play nice."
"Yeah, yeah the kid's fine." Miracle gives Rainbow a weak thumbs up.
I heard Rainbow groan in annoyance, but I chose to ignore it. I cracked my knuckles and turned to a drawer hidden under the desk.
I grabbed a few files. I turned back to Miracle who was peering over my shoulder trying to see what I was doing before snapping back into position.
I shoved the files into her chest.
"Here, read and study these."
"What are they?" She asks and twists and looks at them from every side.
I roll my eyes. "They're files."
Her cheeks turn a pink hue in embarrassment.
"I-I knew that, I just meant what's in them?" She stares down at them.
"Well here is a revolutionary idea for you. Open and read them."
"R-right, sorry." She gently opens the files and slides the papers out of the envelopes.
Then she just stared at the envelope. Great, she was observing again, I walked up to her and snapped my fingers in front of her face.
"Earth to Miracle, just read the files!"
Her eyes blinked back into reality and mumbled a quick sorry, I sighed in annoyance and glanced over at Rainbow who was sitting down and reading from a small book. Silently pondering to myself what they were reading.
Why did Chip want me to get along with a goat kid?
There had to be more than just needing to get along right? My mind soon shifted over to how I was going to teach the kid on how to be a good receptionist. I was getting her started off by reading files on some of our daily clients... Probably should've told her that... Whatever.
Then maybe I'll tell her how to greet people or more specifically teach her how to pick apart someone's attitude and then decide from that the best kind of greeting for them. Then maybe I could...
The pestering sound of fake coughing of a certain child cracks through my train of thought. My head snaps towards her direction, she lightly jumps in her spot from my sudden movement.
God she gets scared so easily she's gonna need to toughen up if she wants to survive in this place.
"I...Uhhhh, finished reading the files." She spoke out, her voice quiet but still audible.
"Huh, oh yeah. Good, do you know why I made you read those?" I question crossing my arms. Her ears flopped further down, which I didn't think was even possible. Her eyes squinted showing she was deep in thought, she needed to hurry the hell up.
"So?" I said rather loudly, my patience wearing thin.
"ToGetABetterSenseOfThePeopleWhoComeHere?" I stared at her blankly.
"Can you repeat that but slower?"
"Oh umm yeah sorry, I said 'To get a better sense of the people who come here?'"
