"I wonder if Chubby has clawed her eyes out yet." I say in somewhat amusement although a part of me is genuinely scared that this could be a reality. He chuckles slightly at my comment ruffling my hair as I push his hand off.

"Ah don't mess my hair!" I say faking anger holding onto the hand that dared to mess my blonde hair.

"So cute how you think you can boss me around." He says jokingly playing into my 'anger'.

I stick my tongue out at him.

"So how much longer are you going to hold onto that?" He says smirking, while pointing with his free hand down at my hands still holding his other one in between.

"As long as I want." I retort now smiling. We always had banter - even when I had just arrived at the casino, and to be honest, my, er...flirting skills probably originated from our interactions.

But of course, we were nothing more than a boss and his employee.

We stay like that for a few seconds before we hear a loud crash outside.

I look at him...

He looks at me...

"Chubby"

"Definitely Chubby." I nod in response, both of us hiding our fear with nervous laughter. I finally let go of Chip's hand which I had taken hostage, I opened the door for him and we walked out of the room with a decision on Miracle's fate and fear for Chubby's pissed off antics.

♡Chubby's: POV♡

As I watch Chip bring Sash to another room, I glare at Miracle.

It was a 'miracle' little goat-kid here wasn't dead by now, the only thing keeping me from strangling her was the fact that Chip hadn't ordered us to.

Yet.

This was the first time in two years that I'd lost a round of poker; and to some random kid too.

But, she cheated, so it didn't count, right?

I'm seething as Rainbow holds her down, Jaza lounges in their chair, feet kicked up onto the table.

"Feet off the table, Jaza." Rainbow mutters, Jaza sighs irritably and retracts their legs, placing them on the chair next to them instead.

The longer I stare at Miracle and her stupid little goat horns and ears, the more I have the urge to just gouge her eyes out. I had called her cute, while she lied through her teeth, and feigned innocence.

My eyes flicker back and forth between her and the door to Chip's office, hoping that at any moment he would walk through and give me permission to snipe her.

Stupid, fucking goat kid-

"If you keep reddening anymore you're gonna burst, Chubby." Jaza snickers, mimicking an explosion. I glare at them, grumbling back into my chair.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Chip told us to kill her. No one gets away with cheating and lying in his casino." Rainbow says out loud, their voice still perfectly monotone.

I could see Miracle trembling, harder and harder as we discussed her fate.

Pathetic, trying to play the victim.

I just needed to do something, if I wait any longer, I might as well jump off the Casino's topmost building.

I look over to an empty table, spying a chair positioned at it's corner. I can see the confused glances of Jaza and Rainbow as I walk towards it, feet padding across the crimson carpeted floor.

I finally stop in front of the chair, grabbing it roughly by it's back and bringing it over my head. Before Rainbow and Jaza could protest I smashed down the chair, colliding it with the table.

'Crash!' The wood cracks, breaking into needle-sharp splinters. Flakes of wood and dust scatter around the room, the broken parts of the chair fall limply to the floor.

Some heads turn at the crash, staring as I hold the smashed chair. I shoot them a deadly look and suddenly they swivel back in their seats, hyper-focused on their games.

Dropping the shattered wood, I spin to see Miracle, eyes wide, mouth agape, looking like she could pass out at any moment.

Good.

Jaza stands a little scared with Miracle, and Rainbow just looks pissed that I broke casino property.

Damn them, who cares, we all just got cheated by some amateur goat, and nearly lost thousands!

Why the hell didn't we see her switch the cards-

The sound of a click comes from Chip's door, with him exiting and Sash following behind. I snap from my thoughts to see Sash smiling a little, Chip's face carefully set neutrally.

A wide grin tugs at my face - with Sash smiling and knowing Chip, whatever was about to happen to 'Miracle' wouldn't be good.

It never is.
