Chapter 7

"Get your license then we can worry about getting a car." She said

"Yeah but daddy never signed me up for classes." I said

"Kiara you're his baby girl. It's a lot for him to accept that you're growing up." She said I sighed

"Ok I get that but he wasn't like that with Kianna and she was doing way more than just asking for driving lessons at almost 16." I said

"Because he had you." She said

"So can y'all have another baby then?" I asked she laughed

"Sorry mama my baby bearing days are long gone." She said

"Not really you're only 39." I pointed out. She had Brandon at 21 years old.

"Exactly. I'll be 40 this year." She said

"You look good for 40 ma." Jayden said smiling.

"Thank you baby." She said I smacked his arm

"Don't be looking at my mama." I said

"I'm just looking at what I have to look forward too in a few years." He said my mom and I smiled

"Mhm." I said

"You're such a flatterer." My mom said he laughed

"Anyway I'm ready to leave when you are mom." I said

"Me too ma." Jayden said

"Alright let's go." She said

"Ma wait. Shandon is acting funny can I ride with y'all?" Kianna asked coming downstairs. She was wearing a pair of high-waisted jeans and a blue crop top. Her hair was straightened down her back and she had on big hoop earring.

"That's what you're wearing to school?" My mom asked

"Yeah. Mami it's nothing wrong with my outfit." She said

"Suit yourself. Let's go guys." Mami said we all piled into my moms Audi. She drove us to school listening to her type of music. Kianna and I groaned with irritation. She plays the same Kelly Price CD every time we get in the car.

"Mami can we listen to the radio please?" I asked

"Fine. Y'all don't know good music when you hear it?" She said changing the music to Jammin' 94.5. Chris Brown's Loyal came on. We all sang along. Mami shook her head.

"Y'all all going to hell." My mom said

"Why mommy?" Kianna asked

"Cause you are. That's all I got to say." She said we all laughed and continued singing along to the music until we got school. When we did we all got out the car and thanked my mom for taking us.

"You're welcome. I'll see you guys at home." She said driving off. Jayden gave me a hug and kissed my forehead.

"What was that for?" I asked smiling

"Just because. I love you." He said

"I love you too." I said we walked to our first period class together. We sat in the back and took the notes that were on the board. Destiny and Christian came in shortly after class started. Her clothes were messy and they both seemed outta breath. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out what they just did. Jayden looked at me. I just shook my head. They took their seats in the back of the class.

At lunch we all sat together. I had a salad and a grilled chicken sandwich. While i was eating i was working on my math homework from over the weekend.
