Adventures in the Wish Realm | Swan Queen

Chapter 1: The arrival

Note: This is my first fanfiction ever. Also English is not my native language so if you have any suggestions for improvement (both writing style and anything else) feel free to post them in the comments. You can also write wishes and/or ideas for the story in the comments. The fanfiction is based on season 6 episode 10, but deviates from the upcoming episodes after that. In my fanfiction, Emma and Hook are no longer together (they were together shortly after staying in Neverland, but quickly realized they weren't a good match) and Robin was killed by Hades (as he was in the series).

The first chapters will still resemble the episode (a lot) in some places, though the plot will focus on Emma and Regina. But after Regina kidnaps Snow and David, the chapters will be very different from the series. I decided to make the first chapters similar to the 10th episode because it is the basis of the fanfiction and I didn't want people to have to watch the episode before reading the fanfiction.

Emma blew out the candle on her birthday cake. It was her birthday and she was wearing a beautiful cream and pink dress, which was perfect for such a happy day. Her life was perfect. The Evil Queen couldn't cast her curse and her parents, Queen Snow White and King David, managed to banish her from the Enchanted Forest. Everything was the way she wanted it and she couldn't be happier about it. She was with her parents, who celebrated her birthday with her, had a son and lived in a big castle. She was happy as could be and couldn't want anything more for her birthday than what she already had. However, there was one thing that Emma could not let go of. One thing that had been on her mind for hours.

Her parents noticed their daughter's discomfort and confronted her. "What's wrong, honey?" asked Snow, looking at her with concern.

"Nothing. I'm fine, mother. I just had a very strange dream last night that I can't stop thinking about. There I was in a new, modern and strange land created by the curse of the Evil Queen. I was the Savior there, just as you told me, and continued to fight against her there. But it was a different version of the Evil Queen and a different version of her fought with me against her. It was strange. It wasn't just me and this other version of the Evil Queen fighting against her, we were all fighting against her."

Emma's discomfort was clear to see and Snow tried to reassure her. "Honey. We defeated the Evil Queen and so we were able to prevent all of this. She was banished and will never make our lives miserable again. She can never go back to the Enchanted Forest. Besides, it is completely impossible that there are several versions of her. I'm sure that was just your imagination."

"I know," Emma said. "But I was in this weird place, and it had an unusual name. It was called, I think it was called, Storybrooke. Also, I found a sword under my bed. That I certainly didn't put there" Emma picked up a sword, with a long silver blade and a red stone at the end of the handle, and showed it to her parents.

"I'm sure that was just a dream, Emma. I'm sure the sword was put there by one of the servants. They were cleaning the weapons. After all, tomorrow is Henry's big day and everything must be prepared for it," David explained.

Henry entered the hall and, out of breath, ran to his mother and grandparents. Emma and David looked at him in surprise, and Snow looked at him slightly reproachfully.

"I'm sorry. I missed the blowing out, didn't I? I have practiced for tomorrow so that I wouldn't embarrass myself when I was inducted into the knighthood. Will you forgive me, Mother?" asked Henry, looking at her sadly.

Emma could not help but smile at her son. He was as unpunctual and disorganized as she was. He had definitely inherited that from her. "Of course I forgive you. After all, I want everything to go perfectly tomorrow, you're going to be a wonderful knight," Emma said, hugging her son and stroking his soft brown hair, which resembled his father.
