" Vida! Come with me! " the man shouted and continue to ran after me

" No, I' don't know you. My mom is waiting for me!" I scream at the top of my lungs

" Your mom doesn't deserve you! She's a bad person!"

" You don't know her so shut up! "

I ran as quickly as I could, till I spotted my mom standing in front of her car. I started calling her, but she didn't appear to hear me, so I ran up to her and hugged her tightly.

" Mommy! " I cried on her shoulders

" Let go of her Ricci. " the man said and he repeatedly call me by my special name that Mommy calls me

" Ricci anak, don't listen to him stay with Mama please. " Mom whisper to me and put me behind her back.

" Please, leave us alone. See? We're happy already. " Mommy beg

" You're not the only one who should be happy Imee, I want to take Ricci from you. She will going to live with me. " The guy said and forcedly grab my arm

" Vida, anak! " Mom scream while the man's dragging me away from her

" I don't want to go with you please! " I beg

" I'm sorry, I can't just let her have you forever. " he even looked at Mommy who was crying while two other people were blocking her

I'm still trying to get rid of him, but he's too powerful and won't let me go. Until I heard Mommy scream and I glanced at her. Somebody aimed a handgun at her and she started weeping.

I yelled at the same time the rifle went off and struck my Mom.

" Mommy! "

I woke up from my bed with a loud knock on my bedroom door. Oh Goodness Gracious! Thank God it's just a dream. I'm not sure what I'd do if Mom suddenly disappeared from my life. Even if we're million miles apart, she's still my life.

I sat in my bed, looking at my reflection in the massive mirror in front of my bed. And then my Tata Aimee walked in.

" Naimbag nga bigat! Mangan tayon(Good Morning! Let's eat.). " Tata Aimee said and and jumped onto my bed

" Naimbag nga bigat Tata!(Good Morning Tata) Sunod nalang po ako. " I coldly said

" Okay ka lang ba? Something appears to be bothering you. " Tata asked

" Mayat met Tata(I'm fine Tata). I just totally missed my mom. " I hugged Tata Aimee

" For sure miss na miss ka din naman ni Manang. " Tata rub my back

" Tumawag pala yun kanina, kinakamusta ka kasi she just knew that you've won Bristol-Myers Squibb Award. Bakit daw hindi ka nagsasabi sa kaniya. " Tata added

" Alam ko kasi busy din siya sa campaign niya eh. " Mommy is running as a Senator kasi in Philippines

Tata asked me to leave my room and join her for breakfast. She made bacon, eggs, and of course, I won't have been without my favourite didengdeng, something that I inherited from Ferdinand.

I've been living with Tata Aimee in Tati Irene's house in San Diego for the past 5 years. It's so difficult to be away from my Mom and my elder brothers, but it's also for the better, that's what my Mom said. She does not want me to be deeply involved in the issues in the Philippines. I really want them to be with me but Mom really doesn't want to let me go back home. I'd really like to meet Mia in flesh also.

" Tata, uwi tayo ng Pilipinas, please. " I begged Tata as I continued to eat my food

" We both know na hindi papayag si Manang. Ayaw mo naman sigurong magalit yon hindi ba? " Tata said while holding my hand.

" I just really wanted to see Mommy and be with her. I haven't come to embrace her in a great many years. I just terribly miss her. " As tears streamed down my face, As I expressed my concerns.

" I know, Vida. Tiis lang muna tayo ha. Makakasama din natin sila. " Tata said

" Kelan Tata? Kapag may ibuburol at ililibing na? " I answer philosophicaly

" Vida naman.. "

" I receive prestigious awards, yet I can't even spend time with my family. " Tata was about to say something when her phone started ringing.

" It's Manang Imee. " she said

" Hello, Manang? " she answered the call

" I'm done. I'm heading to my room now. " I went inside my room before Mommy asked and spoke to me.

" Vida wait! "

I just totally ignored Tata. I was incredibly upset with them all for not allowing me to come back home to them.

I really just want to be with them. That's all.
