Unbeknownst to shizu, her father, Fumihito Izawa, all this time is visiting his wife everyday ever since she got admitted to hospital

This happen on the morning of the first day in christmas, the day before shizu bought the cake

As usual, fumihito is walking at the street to reach the hospital, but he suddenly nearly collapse due to his age

Luckily, a man catch him before he collapse to the ground

Rimuru then help fumihito to sit at the nearby bench and hand him a bottle of mineral water

"I'm going to visit my wife at the hospital"

'hospital? Seriously?! The nearest one is over 8 km from here! And this guy is at least over 60 years old..'

"You...could take a taxi you know?"

"....my wife is in the condition that she could leave me anytime. I....i don't want her to go alone.....at least, i want to be by her side when the day come, spend the rest of the time with her as much as i can is also part of the reason. And of course, i miss my wife."

As fumihito talked, his tears become more obvious. Of course, he is usually only spend time with her daughters, so he need to act tough all the time so that his daughters will not worried

When fumihito enter, rimuru tell misery to send him to nearest hospital. After that, rimuru went to fumihito again

"You are someone treasure sir. Please be careful in the future, also.....you really are a great man sir."

Rimuru said to which fumihito just laugh it off, rimuru then gave his numbers card to fumihito and asked him to call if he need any help

And just like that, the red strings of fate between the two destined being got entangled again.
