It must have been around 9pm when Noah arrived at Jace's house. Like every Tuesday night, the young man had swimming lessons and his friend's house was close by, so the two had concluded that it would be cool if they spent the evening together. But lately, Jace didn't seem to be in his mood and Noah knew the reason: in a fit of anger during a fight, his friend had bitten one of the teachers and it had been almost two days since he had disappeared. Despite the situation, and not wanting to jeopardize his "Big Plan", Jace had continued to come to class so as not to arouse suspicion. Although Noah didn't think it was worth being so careful: no one knows he's a werewolf but him.

Arriving at his friend's house, he entered with the key Jace had given him and hearing the water running in the bathroom he went into the kitchen to help himself to some chips. He would wait for Jace to finish washing before going in. Making himself at home, he sat down on the couch and saw the TV screen turned on to a video game. Giving in to temptation, he picked up the controller and continued the game; either way Jace wouldn't mind because he knew the game well. Several minutes went by when Jace entered the living room:
'Say, just because you know the game doesn't mean you have to continue MY game.'
'I know, but I wanted to make it a little easier for you, instead you should thank me.' Noah retorted, putting the controller down.
'And how high did you get me?' Jace asked, sitting down next to him.
'Level 8, but at level 10 you can walk around outside the kingdom. And did you manage to finish the first page of the album?'
'Yeah I managed to finish it yesterday, it was a real pain in the ass but I really love this game. Do you think there will be a sequel?'
'The creator said it was her first game but she might make another one.' Noah said as he stood up. 'I'm going to take a shower, I still stink of chlorine I think.'
'I've been smelling it ever since you walked in, but at least I know it's you. Hey Noah...'
'Yeah what?' His friend asked, turning to him.
'Do you think she might like the game? Remember when we used to have game nights?'
'Yeah...that was fun and I'm sure she would have liked that game...'

After giving Jace a weak smile Noah went upstairs to the bathroom, leaving his friend alone on the couch. The latter grabbed the controller and continued the game while eating the chips that Noah had left. He then remembered that his friend was certainly hungry, especially after swimming lessons. Jace got up to prepare the meal: he knew that chips would not be enough for his friend who had a gluttonous appetite. The young man decided to prepare eggs with salad.
His keen sense of smell allowed him to smell different odors, which was very useful. But right now, the smell he was smelling was not the eggs cooking in the pan. It was the smell of cigarette smoke: yet neither he nor Noah smoked. Jace eventually noticed other smells that he did not think were good omens. Then the door was knocked on several times and in a brutal way, as if the person behind insisted on opening it. Keeping his calm, Jace opened the door: a man wearing a dark jacket with a strange symbol was standing in front of him.

'Good evening Jace Belladona, I'll be quick so as not to waste time.' The man began, reading information from a sheet of paper. 'With the last event you triggered and in light of the situation, my superiors have decided to take you in for observation. Once this is over and depending on your behavior, your life can resume.'
'What is this bullshit? And who are you anyway?' Jace asked, suspicious of his interlocutor. 'What are you talking about? I have nothing-'
'Shut up, you ungrateful bastard!' The man interrupted, giving him a punch in the ribs. 'I didn't ask you to answer me! If you don't want anything to happen to your friend, I strongly advise you to obey like a good dog.'
'I'm not your dog, you asshole...' Jace answered ready to transform. 'And it's not your lousy punch in my ribs that's going to make me fall.'
'Maybe, but this most certainly will.' The other replied as he pulled a taser from his pocket.
