Third person POV
Denali put their cup of coffee on their desk, right next to their computer before scribbling down something on a piece of paper. They were sick of this job. It was exactly 4:07 pm. A vase full of flowers sat on their desk, the only thing neat there. The rest were just crumpled up pieces of paper, they weren't much of a tidy person, and this was an organized mess to them.
''...Denali, you need to clean up.'' A co-worker said, concerned about their mental wellbeing.
''Why can't you be quiet and mind your own business?'' They were obviously stressed out, and sleep deprived. Squinting their eyes when looking at the co-worker, just because they refused to put on their glasses.
'''Nali, put your glasses on, please. We all know you can't see Caleb without them.'' Another Co-worker said.
I am not putting those glasses on.. I don't need them. Denali thought, not even wanting to see Caleb even though he was their best friend.
Denali grabbed their glasses and got up, clocked out, and walked out of the building. Caleb followed them. ''Hey, 'Nali. What's wrong?'' Caleb softly smiled.
''Nothing. I'm just glad that our shift is over.'' Denali rolled their eyes, and put their glasses on so they wouldn't trip over anything.
''I can tell that there's something wrong, just tell me.'' Caleb put a hand on their shoulder. ''I promise I won't tell another soul.''
Denali's POV
''I can tell that there's something wrong, just tell me.'' Caleb put a hand on my shoulder, one strike to the face. ''I promise I won't tell another soul.'' He gave me that warm smile, again. I hate that warm smile. I despise it. It can go burn in hell. Caleb is a damn human doormat. He needs to cut it out.
Out of anger, and maybe spite, I grabbed his hand and twisted it, then punched his nose. My hands were bloody, and so was his nose. He just stared at me, and sighed. I think he's used to this, I couldn't tell. I just walked away.
I want some coffee. I wonder how much money I have in my pocket? Maybe it's enough to get some coffee and not worry about the rent this month. Oh what am I even talking about? I'm rich, I can do whatever.
I'd walk back to where Caleb was, and grab him by his shirt collar, and pull him closer to me. ''I'm not sorry, now let's go.'' I'd say in a rather harsh tone, and I'd just drop him.
''Hey that was kinda hot-'' Caleb smirked, getting right back up.
''Caleb, stop being a simp. Let's go.''
Caleb's POV
My nose hurts. Of course my nose hurts, they just punched me. Denali is reaching into their bag... What are they looking for? A bandage-? Oh, that's for me I think.
I'd watch as they put the bandage on my nose and handed me a box of tissues. ''Thanks.'', I smiled. I think Denali is pretty nice once you get to know them.
He just stared at me, saying nothing. He then walked to the cafe, and I followed. I wonder what he'd do without me, I'm so epic they'd be sad if I wasn't here! I smiled.
They'd stop... Why'd they stop?
