The First Star, a lonely sliver of light in an eternal black sea. From the beginning of time, it has been the lone ray of light flooded in unimaginable darkness until its will manifested itself giving birth to a world of wonder and possibilities. Countless stars went on and on and on in the entire cosmic expanse but in the end, they were also lifeless husks such as The First Star was those many many eons. So, as a way to find, or rather create, other forms of life in that, now bright but dead sea, The First Star took its core and forged it into a being of pure light, Lux the Guardian of the stars. Her golden hair would radiate light brighter even than the brightest stars and her whiter than white wings would carry her gentle and angelic embrace by singing a song of hope that its chorus would reach even the farthest end of the universe. A song that gave birth to Aether, an energy overwhelming everything and creating beautiful life on all those countless stars one could drown in. Even so, the perfect world The First Star had created would not last for long, as the imbalance in Aether would bend the laws of the universe. A once static, never-changing place would now be an ever-evolving habitat of life, and out of necessity to bring back order from the deepest and farthest edges of the universe where the song of hope would barely reach, a dark force bent to bring back order would arise, The Sister of Darkness, Nox. One would say She is the pinnacle of perfection and symmetry created to silence the song of hope. Created to cease the evolution of life and bring back that perfect world where none could interfere with the natural order.

Her own energy would rival the flow of Aether and would slow time itself bringing stagnation to the song of hope and soon It grew strong enough to silence the song at the edge of the universe. The infinite sea of life was now but an ever slowly closing circle, that one day would cease to be. The clash of The Two Sisters would go on and on for eons while the life that bloomed on those countless skies was slowly but surely extinguished one after another. Though her efforts grew stronger, Lux was unable to stop the Flood of Darkness, and each passing day she would notice a once brilliant bright star go dark and die unable to do anything, so she sought The First Star for advice on how to remedy the demise of the loved new world it had created. And though she sought wisdom she had only found a vague answer in her desperate call:

"Seek your way into the darkness, maintain the life thou hath grown with thy faith, and defy the claim which accepts your defeat. Go forth my child and never look back" The First Star has answered her.

And so that's what she did, Lux ventured into the depths of the universe seeking the one who was spreading the darkness and after millennia she found her enemy on a singular star with the darkest glow, the throne of her sister, Nox. With a blinding light and a deafening song, Lux tried to lighten up and spread her hope on the dying world, but naught happened. Her light was no match for the natural order of darkness Nox wielded. Her chaotic melodies would not avail her in the darkness she was facing. With her song finally silenced the universe echoed cries of despair and stagnation as a cold embrace would end all she held dear but a lone star behind her that was still cherishing the last remnants of the song of hope and its most warm embrace. And so, with a dying breath, Lux invoked The First Star and with its energy cast a shield upon the star creating The Last Bastion of Hope, Elpis. As Lux's essence was slowly fading away into the shield of the star, Nox already fled to find a way to pierce the impenetrable defense Lux has made and The First Star lost its life and became a lifeless husk once more guarding over Elpis.

Elpis, a planet once on the brink of death, now blossomed life into its every corner from the clearest oceans and seas to the tallest mountains filled with majestic forests that bloomed the most magnificent of flowers one could lose their entire lifetime gazing at their beauty. A world of wonder with its greatest marvel yet to be understood. A floating island that would guard over its blue clear skies where the begging of life on beautiful Elpis would emerge. Over time, as life itself evolved, humanity was born, able to weave the Aether that flowed into every single entity on the star. And so the most charming city would arise on the floating Island, The City of Phos, where one brave soul would be born and weave the entire fabric of history.
