“It's not my fault, you know I'm not a morning person. I'm a creature of the night.”

“Alright then 'creature of the night', my mother is coming to this get together and she's bringing my very straight ex-girlfriend along. Blue you have to help me out here, she's even got one for Ed.”

Adelaide Rosalie Jacobson was a formidable woman. She had come into a great deal of money after her highly publicised divorce from her husband Edmund. She'd never worked a day in her life and had spent the past three years trying to convert Joseph into heterosexuality by bringing along countless snobby girls to dinners and social gatherings. She'd even once recognised who I was and asked about my family before quickly dismissing it; apparently I was far too middle class to be associated with the likes of my own family.

“Fine, I'll come. Pick me up at eight, if you're even a minute late I'm staying home.” I heard his high-pitched squeal of delight and the clapping of his hands before I hung up on him. Sometimes I really wish I had a flip phone, hanging up was so much more dramatic with those things.

Edward Jacobson hadn't tried to contact me since our failed attempt at grabbing coffee. I was also tightly wound up from out encounter at the grocery store; something that I had planned on releasing on George if it hadn't been for his meeting in Brazil that was short notice.

I had asked him on three occasions about what his job actually was, but his answer would always be the same, 'I'm the CEO, pretty much in charge of everything. It's not my choice that fifty percent of my clients are imbeciles who can't solve their own problems, hence all the travelling. That's all you need to know Em', end of conversation after that. It didn't really bother me that he wouldn't say anything more, it's just that sometimes there's some dubious looking packages that get delivered by equally shady characters at ungodly hours while he's away.

Seven thirty and my room looked like a disaster zone. Every single article of clothing I owned was either sprawled across the bed or crumpled on the floor, save for one dress on a hanger that I was holding against my body in front of a mirror.

Black, sparkly, short and revealing more than it covered. I had played with the thought of wearing this to Joey's little soiree to celebrate the completion of his backyard, complete with patio and jacuzzi. I don't know how he managed to afford that, but then again his partner is a pilot.

7:31pm // Blue on my way 2 pick u up. Ed is with, 15 mins tops xo

Black, sparkly and short dress it is, I decided when I finished reading his text. Due to the skin-tight nature of it, I had to go without a bra. I even contemplated ditching the panties if not for the reminder of what had happened last time I tried that. Yeah, not making that mistake again.

Slinging on my black strapped heels, I almost tripped as I rushed towards the bathroom. My eyes had dark circles underneath them from the lack of sleep. Nothing that a little bit of makeup couldn't cover though. My inability to sleep properly by myself was another reason why sleeping with George was a bonus that I didn't want to give up.

I had only just started to apply my lipstick when my phone vibrated violently against the marble counter, each vibration making it inch closer to the edge.

“Blue we're outside, come out when you're ready.” Joe said before hanging up without another word, he sounded a little perplexed and out of breath.

Fifteen minutes later, 7:55 to be exact, I was ready and I shoved my phone and keys into a small clutch as I shut the door behind me. Deciding to skip the elevator, I ran down the two flights of stairs and caught my breath before walking out of the foyer and smiling at the two ridiculously handsome men leaning against a sleek black car.

Both Jacobson brothers had black pants on and matching hairstyles. They could've been identical if it weren't for the fact that the older brother had a scar along the underside of his jaw that was only visible because of the way the light played against his features. This new feature that I'd discovered did nothing to detract from his impressive form though.

“If I wasn't gay, I'd probably be fucking you in my head right now. Damn my best friend is hot.” Joey said as he pushed himself off the side of the car and walked towards me to give me a warm hug. I know he's gay, but that didn't stop my body from reacting to the touch of an attractive male.

“Thanks Joey, you don't look too bad yourself.” I giggled as he let me go and guided me towards the car. I desperately tried to ignore the heated gaze of his brother on me.

“Emmeline, nice to see you again.” Edward said as he pushed himself off the car and slid into the drivers side of the car, but not before giving me a sly wink first. I cringed internally as my nipples tightened under the dress; I suddenly didn't think wearing this one was such a good idea.

What the hell is up with these brothers; I'm pissed at one, and want to rip the clothes off and lick every square inch of the other. Add in their psychotic and controlling mother. This is going to be an interesting night.

[I know it's short, but I'll try not to leave it for so long again! Thank you for waiting, and being patient. I promise it'll all be worth it soon. I'm not planning on this being any longer than 30 chapters, so each chapter from 8 onwards may progress quickly. Bear with me and just go with it. Thank you!!]
