He gulps nervously "N-no it's fine I'm making an exception this once because it's your natural hair color," He stutters slightly "But on that note where is your tie you know the full uniform is mandatory," He reprimands
I sigh "I can't wear ties it's psychological," I say getting bored
"Well why not?," He asked kinda confused
"Someone tried to strangle me with a tie once," I say nonchalantly
"Oh god I'm so sorry that happened to you," He apologized and I smile
"It's fine I broke his jaw as pay back," I say calmly.
"Oh okay," He says uncertainly, "Well why don't I give you a tour of the school and then show you to your dorm,".
"Alright," I say, going back to my one word answers. Holy sh*t I think that was the first actual conversation that I've had since...Um Gray? No Middle school? No before that wait was that last time I had an actual conversation before mom died?! Yeah I think it was... sh*t.

"And this is your dorm since you didn't bring any clothes. You are allowed to go home and pick up clothes and toiletries. Your school uniforms will be in the wardrobe and the door on the right is your room, the door on the left is the bathroom. Are you okay or do you need a map?" Principal Ashford asks.
No I'm good," I say as I walk into the "room" it's more like a suite.
"Yes well the curfew is midnight and here is your schedule and room key," the Principal said and put the schedule and key on the kitchen counter and left closing the door behind himself.
I went into "my" room and flopped on the bed and sighed, closing my eyes. I go over my mental map of the school in my head. I roll onto my stomach having a photographic memory is both a blessing and a curse. You remember all the good memories but can't forget the bad ones. I stand up and grab my dorm key and add it to my keychain "Well might as well get my stuff," I say to myself as I walk out of my dorm and lock the door behind me.
As I walk out of the dorm building and down the gravel path to the parking lot on the other side of the driveway I see a group of girls who look like the so-called popular girl clique. They're about my height somewhere in the 5'4"- 5'8" range although my high heels make around 5'10" which doesn't matter cause most of them are wearing 4 to 6 inch heels.
I put my headphones on out of habit and start playing music. I immediately recognized the song, Headphones by Britt Nicole. I start humming the lyrics and happy memories come to the forefront of my mind.
Mommy I'm gonna be a dancer, alright Nessie let's sign you up for dance class, mommy's little mini me, Guess what Nessie you're gonna be a big sister, Nessie say hi to your little brother Grayson, hi Gray we're gonna be good friends, come on let listen to some music "any time feeling alone put on your headphones now lots of love is coming through your headphones.
As I pass by the popular girls one of them tries to trip me so I step on her foot I mean what are we fifth graders I can not think of a more childish thing to do and seriously we're in COLLAGE it just goes to show with age does not come maturity.
"OUCH WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM, B*TCH?!" The blonde one who tried to trip me yelled.
It was muffled thanks to my headphones and music thank god or I'm pretty sure my eardrums would have imploded from the shrill sound.
