"Can I help you?," he asked. I realized I'd been staring "Ah n-no sorry," I stuttered looking away and rushing through the door.
When I got to my car I put my coffee in a cup holder "Ah n-no sorry," I mocked "What the hell was that Nessie," I groaned banging my head against the steering wheel.
My hair flew in my face, I grabbed a hair tie to put the red ringlets into a pretty decent bun "Ugh I should cut my hair soon it's already past my waist again," I muttered under my breath. I would have thought having ment not having to cut it so often but NOOOOOOO my hair just has to grow five times faster, I mean seriously last time I got it cut to the middle of my back and that was two months ago I thought begrudgingly as I pulled up to the school's front gate they automatically opened, drove up the long path to the parking lot in front of the school. "Great a new school, every girl's dream to be pegged as the new girl and basically gets picked on for the first few weeks," I sighed.
Honestly the only reason I didn't start when I first moved here is 'cause they said I couldn't 'cause it was already the middle of the first term. "Well here goes nothing," I said as I got out of the car. I mean you'd think we'd have left that childish behavior back in high school but for some reason a bunch of eighteen to twenty one year olds still find time to bully people.
"Let's just hope no one tries to bother me," I sigh, whether it's bullying me or trying to be my friend. I mean it's unlikely since my bright hair already makes me a target. "Que boss b*tch background music," I mutter as I pull my headphones out of my back and play Victorious by Panic! At the Disco the nightcore version. I mainly listen to music to block out the noise so I won't have to hear it all again.
Witch, Freak, Volcano, you're a walking hurricane, you wreck everything, leave we don't want you, you're expelled, spider lily, you're like poison you destroy everything, Move b*tch, If you didn't mess with us he would still be alive, you killed her you did if you hadn't made her take you she would be alive, destroyer, cursed, get away from her, don't be her friend she'll only hurt you, stay away from my kid, you're like a grenade with the pin half pulled get out, short fuse ,maybe we should call you Sola it means meant to be alone hahahaha, you're better off alone you aren't compatible with other people, how dare you look like her you tarnish her memory.
I thought about all the things people had said to me over the years in all the words they spat at with venom laced into their words still weren't as bad as their actions, I thought as I rubbed the scar on the back of my neck absentmindedly.
I stopped to stare up at the school; it looked like some kind of ancient castle. It was actually pretty warm for early January. I grab the door handle and open the huge oak door to find a bunch of people wearing the same uniform I am along with the male uniform the guys are issued to wear.
I pause my music and pull my headphones off and placing them around my neck then drop my phone back into my bag.
I finish my coffee and throw it in the trash. I walk up to a random student and ask "Hey do you know where the principal's office is?". "Yea down the hall third right you'll see the secretary's desk. As I walked down the hall and took a right and saw the secretary's desk I walked up to the desk and saw a woman in her early thirties. "Hey I'm here to see Principal Zion Ashford," I say to her nonchalantly.
"Name," she asks but it's more like a demand. "Nessie," I reply. She types something into the computer. Mrs. Willson I read the nameplate on her desk. "Full name," Mrs. Willson says glaring at me. I sigh, rolling my eyes. I hate my full name "Nessabel Desaray Dabria," I say in a monotone voice. I stare at her with cold blue eyes. She shudders and types my name into the computer then she calls Principal Ashford and says "Miss Dabria is here to see you now," The person on the other side of the phone says something then she hangs up and says to me "Principal Ashford will be with you soon," without looking me in the eyes.
