Pocahontas and John Smith 2 : Another baby

Chapter 2

Pocahontas ran to the forest to talk to Grandmother willow first. She runs through the forest and finally reaches Grandmother willow. She steps up onto her stump. "Grandmother willow!" She shouts. Grandmother Willow's face appears upon the tree. "Oh Pocahontas. I haven't seen you in several months. Come, give me a hug. Pocahontas smiled and ran and hugged her tree trunk. "Oh I missed you too." She says as Grandmother Willow's vines wrap around her. Then they pull out of the hug. Pocahontas sits in front of the tree. "Now how is John and little John?" The willow tree asked. "Oh They are both doing great. Little John is getting so big, and John told me today that he wants a baby girl." Pocahontas says nervously. "Oh Child that is wonderful!" She says as she looks at Pocahontas. She noticed that Pocahontas was looking nervous. "What's the matter child?" She asks. "Well, I'm not sure I'm ready for another baby. I mean it's hard enough keeping up with Little John, but then again, it would be nice for Little John to have a playmate." Pocahontas says as she nervously plays with her hair. "Oh well do you want to have another child?" "Yes I do. I just don't know that I'm quite ready for another baby. I mean we just got Little John potty trained." Pocahontas explained. "Ah.... I see, but John really wants another?" Grandmother Willow asked. "Yes. I just want to make him happy but I'm not sure if I can handle two babies. I don't know. What do you think?" Pocahontas asked. "Well I think you and John have spilt the responsibility pretty evenly. I think he would help you with every bump in the road. I think you should give it a shot." The Willow tree replied. Pocahontas thinks for a moment. Then she smiles. "You know, I think your right. I should give this a shot." Pocahontas says. "Oh that's wonderful child." Grandmother Willow says. "Thank you Grandmother Willow, You give the best advice." She says as she hugs the tree. "You're welcome dear. Now go talk to your husband." Grandmother Willow says. Pocahontas nods and runs towards the village.

Pocahontas arrives at the village and runs to get Nakoma first. She goes to her home and knocks on the door. Nakoma comes out and smiles. Nakoma and Pocahontas pull into a hug. "Pocahontas, what are you doing here? I thought we weren't going to see each other until dinner?" Nakoma asked as they pull out of the hug. "Well I need to talk to you but I also need to talk to Father and Adoette as well so let's go to Father's house and then we can talk." Pocahontas says. "Ok let's go." Nakoma says excitedly. The two girls run to the chiefs house and knock on the door. The Chief walks out and is surprised to see his daughter. "Oh my daughter! What brings you here?" He says as he hugs her. "Well, I need to talk to all three of you. So I brought Nakoma so we could all talk. Is that alright?" Pocahontas asked nervously. The Chief smiles. "Well of course! Come on in." He says welcoming them in. The girls walk in to his home. Adoette sees the girls and comes and hugs them. "Oh it's my girls. What brings you two here?" She asked. "Well, I was needing to talk to you three about something." Pocahontas tells her. "Of course come sit down." Adoette says. Adoette, Chief Powatan, Nakoma and Pocahontas all sit down. "Now what was it you wanted to talk to us about?" Adoette asks. "Well, I was talking to John earlier and he told me he really wants a baby girl. He thinks it will make him miss his sister less, but I'm afraid it's too soon to have another baby. I don't know what to do." Pocahontas confesses. "Oh I think you and John would handle a second baby great. I have seen you with little John and you and John both take care of him together and equally. I think you should go for it." Nakoma says with excitement. Pocahontas then looks to her parents. "Nakoma is right. You and John make quite the team, and I think it would help him with the grief of his sister as well. I think you should also go for it." Her father says. "I think so too, and it would be nice for Little John to have a playmate but, I still think it might be a little chaotic to have another baby." Pocahontas says.
"Oh Sweetheart, it may be a little chaotic at first but you and your husband will figure it out, and you know why?" Adoette asks as she reaches out to Pocahontas. Pocahontas shakes her head. "Because, what you and John have is true love, and true love can stand against anything, besides John loves you so much that he will help you make it work." Adoette says as she takes Pocahontas's hand. Pocahontas realized that Adoette was right. They did have true love, and she does believe John will help make it work.
Pocahontas smiles. "You guys are right we can make this work! True love and make it through anything!" Pocahontas says as she jumps up. The others stand up as well. "Yes, and we can always look after the children if you ever need alone time." The Chief said. "You guys are the best! Group hug!" She says as she pulls them all into a hug. Pocahontas then says goodbye and runs back to where her husband was.
