Hello, my name is Alice Ip, but you can just call me Alice. I come from Hong Kong, China, but as of right now, I'm residing in Japan for reasons I'll explain soon. My birthday is September 3rd and I'm 16 years old.
I've been dancing and performing since the age of 5, thanks to me having shown interest for it. With the support of my family, I've managed to win many contests and shows for my talent. Right now, I'm the leader of a popular 3-member dance group known as "The Alice Team", with the two other members being my childhood friends, Sarah and Helen.
Our group is currently touring in Japan, which is the reason for me finding out about this dancing program, known as "Dance Dance Revolution".
Well, in reality, the program found me. I'm apparently one of the biggest pop-stars in Japan at the moment, and the program found out about me through a TV drama my song was featured in. They let me audition and I almost instantly made the cut, much to my surprise. So far, it's been really fun dancing in contests with other people. Although I was a bit shy and reluctant to do it first, I've made some great friends that really encouraged me to let loose and have more fun.
When I'm not too busy with my performances and such, I like to take the time to write letters back to my family and close friends to let them know how I'm doing. I also love to spend time with my two good friends, Emi and Yuni, that I met in the dancing program. We like to do all sorts of things, but it can be somewhat of a hassle for me to go out to public areas with them, considering my fame captures the attention of many around us. I couldn't be happier to be friends with them, since they help me adjust to my new life here in Japan and make me feel a little less homesick. I also like learning new lessons and skills with them when I can. If there's one thing I don't like about living in Japan, though, it definitely has to be snow of any sort. It reminds me I'm not back at home and gives me these horrible feelings of homesickness and loneliness.
I may seem a bit confident and upbeat on stage, but I'm actually very shy. The fact that I'm in a foreign place with new people to meet makes it even worse, but thanks to my friends, I'm able to calm down a bit and be myself. I'm generally described as a very kind and modest person, with a bit of shyness and reluctance, of course. I'm also known for being fast at memorizing things, which is good in many situations, including my career and the adventures I tend to get myself into with my friends.
I've met many interesting people in the dance program that have their own stories to tell, so I'd highly suggest you check out what they have to say. Emi, Yuni, and I also have our fair share of interesting adventures we've been on, which you might find available soon.
Thank you for reading about me!
