|CHAPTER 01|

| THE CHASE |

I found myself running, running away from something unspeakable. I never knew, no, I never expected to see someone with this kind of power. It's mesmerizing, yet terrifying. Destroying everything in their path, power I never knew existed. I can't do this.. I don't think I can do this, their power is too strong.. I was told no one would ever possess a power more greater than mine. A villain possesses the power of destroying the world yet they're chasing me, why?

I'm tired, too tired. I've been running for hours now, how can they run for this long. I hate to say this but I'm scared, for the first time in my life I'm scared. I've always been immortal, but with one who posseses powers as theirs I'm scared for my own life. I was told people with great power can put an end to your life with just one word. A magic so deadly yet beautiful, one uses for the worse. I always wondered how one can be a villain, ending innocent people's life's. I'm scared of what would happen, will I die? What is it like after death, is everything just gone? I don't want to find out, I can't find out.

Hiding won't work, they can see where I am, right? What am i supposed to do? There's no way I can continue running like this, it's too tiring. I'm getting slower and slower, I'm scared of what might happen if they catch me. I finally found an area which most people don't know, it's underground. I don't think they would know this place exists. I need to rest, my legs feel numb I don't think I can stand no longer. I sit on a wooden box, time going slowly.

What would my mother think of me if I don't win this fight, she always expects the best from me. I really hope they dont try to harm anyone while I'm hiding, I don't think I would be able to stop them, I know I won't be able to stop them. I hear footsteps approaching me slowly, is it them? I crouched, breathing heavily, their face slowly comes into view. They're young, very young. Why? Why would a little girl be doing this?

I cover my mouth trying to reduce my breathing, she approaches slowly. She smiles softly, "it's okay you can come out." What? Is she not who was chasing me? I slowly get back up, staring at her, confused. I asked why she was being nice. Her response made my stomach drop. My eyes shaking in fear as she transforms back into her true form. I back away slowly, scared of what might come.

What do I do. What do I do. What do I do. I repeat over and over again in my mind. Blank. I shouldn't of stopped, I shouldn't of rested. It's my fault, I messed up, I can't fix this. I have to face this, I have to try. If I don't what will happen, do I just surrender, do I run? I'm scared.

I never thought this day would come, the day where I'll finally be defeated.
