'No! No! No!' You ran over to the girl and flipped her over to see her messed up face. Yet you could still tell who it was.
"T- Tamayo?" You barely squeaked.
Then you felt something touch you by the face.
"M- Muzan-kun?" She said softly, her eyelids were heavy so she used her entire willpower to fight through the pain and to close her eyes.
"Tamayo! Hold on, I'll take you back to the village and try to to heal you with your newly developed medicine!" you panicked, picking her up in bridal carry.
"It's no use Muzan-kun, I'm going to die before that you know?" She whispered. You can't think straight anymore, you can hear your heartbeat pounding awfully fast.
"T- then I'll turn you into a demon!" You said quickly.
You heard Tamayo chuckle lightly, shaking her head on your arms.
"No Muzan-kun, I never wished to be a demon you know? What makes us human is death, I wish to live as human... I'm sorry Muzan-kun, forgive me.." Tamayo said with a kind smile at you.
You felt a tear slip through your eyes.
"Stop Tamayo... stop, let me be selfish just for once.. please... I beg you" you cried softly, burying your head into Tamayo's stomach.
You felt a hand, patting your head softly.
"Don't blame them.. I left them to find more herbs, it's my fault.. not theirs.."
"Tamayo... please don't die... I'll kneel and beg if you want me to! Please let me turn you to a demon please!!!!" You begged, begging her to give in. You can't lose someone again. Not her.
She is the only light that came in your life, even though you tried pushing her away all the time she was still there. With you.
"No matter how many people, you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living. No matter how devastating, the blows maybe..." and so, her hand who was softly patting your head fell down.
Your eyes widen, tears cannot be contained any longer as you cried. Blaming yourself that if you just went with her, she wouldn't be like this now.
Your knees feel weak, you knelt down and out Tamayo's cold body infront of you.
"Tamayo... I'm so sorry... I'm sorry.. I'm so worthless" you screamed, tears streaming down your face.
All you could do is blame yourself, she asked you to not blame others for not keeping an eye on her.
Your the demon king so why? Why did you let someone so important to you to die in your arms? You wanted to be selfish and turn her into a demon, yet you hesitated because she didn't want to be one. You could just turn her into a demon and she won't die, yet you didn't. So Why?
"Ah... agh I'm so sorry... I'm so Damn sorry!!" You kept on repeating it over and over again, with you hugging her body.
