In addition to yoga, I take pleasure in going on occasional jogs in the morning. A few years ago I would have never thought I would be running just for the hell of it, especially in the morning. Now, I've come to appreciate the feeling I get when running and how it makes my body feel.

I try to do some kind of physical activity every day, whether it's yoga, running, or simply stretching on my balcony. People have this stupid misconception that being plus-sized means a person is automatically unhealthy without even knowing their circumstances.

I have curves, a stomach, and thick thighs, and I love my shape. It's been a long journey and a lot of work to love my body but I wouldn't change a thing about it. I'm finally at a point where I'm comfortable in my own skin and all that matters is I'm healthy. If people can't accept that then they can kiss my fat ass.

Running also helps to blow off the most steam. I can shut out the world and all my problems by listening to music while I run. It's so freeing just feeling the wind in my face and the deep breaths in my lungs. Also, I just have so many cute workout sets from PrettyLittleThing. Gotta show them off somehow. Today I'm wearing a black fitted long sleeve set with matching leggings since it's cold out right now.

My Airpods currently blast "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee as I drown out the busy city noise. I can tell I'm getting tired but I'm almost back at the apartment so I push myself to run the last half a mile.

When I make it back in front of my apartment, I stand with my arms above my head and my eyes closed as I try to catch my breath. When I open my eyes, a black Bently pulls up to the curb in front of me. I squint trying to see if I can tell who's inside from the tinted windows.

The windows open to reveal my father's smiling face. I roll my eyes and snatch my AirPods out before walking closer to the car.

"What a beautiful day it is, daughter," he greets almost sarcastically with a smile.

"Ew. Please don't say daughter like that, it's giving Thanos. And I thought we agreed you wouldn't bother me when I'm working on a story," I say, crossing my arms.

We both know damn well I haven't even begun working on this story, hell I don't even have a story yet. I just don't feel like being bothered with him today. I've always worked better under pressure and when I'm pinched for time.

"If I were you I would be a little nicer considering I'm about to help you find what could be the best investigative piece you've ever written," he advises.

His words pique my interest and I wonder what he could be proposing. Normally I would never just take a story from someone, but I'm running out of options. I just have to get this last story done and Oakwood will be mine.

"You know I work alone but...I'm listening."

"Get in the car then," He looks forward and rolls up the window before I even respond.
