Mole

There was a disturbing young mole,

Who tried to dig my backyard a hole .

Every time I filled it up,

There would be another at sunup,

The poor mole never reached its goal.

Pencil

A pencil is a temporary writing tool,

Often used at work and school.

How common this tool may seem!

It produces gray marks and fails to gleam.

Yet it is mightier in use than weight,

To express ideas before its fate.

Although it is an ordinary stick of wood,

Do much for one it really could.

When the pencil is thrown away finally,

It knows it has fulfilled its duty heartily.

Warmth

A fire can provide only so much heat,

In a cabin on a snowy winter day.

But warmth is not only of peat,

Not only of logs burnt away.

Scorching bursts of determined fury-

To achieve such a difficult, demanding task.

With his resistance's power, ever so fiery.

With unforgiving snow beating upon a climber's mask.

Desperation, in an innocent's mind,

Fire, burns in his soul.

Warmth, fills his body all over,

But alas, he will not give up, like a fighting bull.
