"Iiv.. I can explain.."
His eyes were filled with sadness. Poor guy was about to lose his girlfriend and friends.
"no!! You can't explain anything. You're a piece of shit ashton! She loved you more than anything, and this is how you repay her?"
I felt tears in my own eyes. I felt hurt for Natalie. She's been through so much, and I have no clue how much she can take anymore.
It was late June.. The 28th I believe. We have only been here for about 2 weeks. Natalie has progressively worse with her anxiety; and general sadness; since we got here.
"Liv I didn't mean it. I thought she was leaving me for luke."
Tears streamed down his face, but I didn't feel bad. How could I feel bad for the person who just cheated on my friend?
I just chuckled. I couldn't even speak anymore. The subject wasn't funny, but ashton begging me to basically keep this a secret is the really funny part. How he thinks I'm going to keep something like this from Natalie. He wishes I were that nice.
"Look ashton, either we talk to Natalie or you tell her yourself." Mikey came to my side and put an arm around me, since I couldn't speak anymore. He had my back, what a sweetheart.
"But guys.. I can't." He knew he was going to be broken up with if she found out, but I could tell he was worried about Natalie. I would be too, she's not very stable right now.
Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw kay, looking Michael up and down, winking at him. Let me remind you that she was still just in a bra.
"And you!! You cunt!! How dare you go after someone else's boyfriend, my best friend, and then go after mine!! Do you have daddy issues or something? I don't care!! Just stay away from my man, or you will be fucking burned! You hear me? I will rip your fucking-"
I probably looked like a cartoon where there is smoke coming out of the characters ears, but I don't care. I was mad, and it was all her fault.
Yet someone cut me off,
"Sssh liv." Michael brought both of his arms around me gently, trying to calm me down. I pushed him away from me, my eyes jetting back to kay.
"NO!! you just come here like 'oh ello dere I am from da Switzerland" or wherever the fuck you're from, I don't care to learn unless you need a plane ticket back, and you say with your sweet talking little lips and tight ass walk 'oh I'm in your bunk' well bitch guess what? You're not in my bunk anymore. If your fucking stuff isn't out by tomorrow I will burn that shit to the ground you hear me? Don't ever look at me again."
After this one I spit at her and walked out, hearing crying from behind me. I'm glad I made her cry, she deserved it.
"Oh and by the way, I'm telling Natalie." I Peaked my head in the door once to tell ashton, and then signaled for Mikey to follow me.
"I'm sorry that you had to see that.." I looked up at Michael who still looked shaken.
"Don't be, I'm actually proud of you, knowing that you defended our relationship, and gained some confidence." I smiled up at him as he said that, and then kissed him on the cheek.
As soon as we reached the cafeteria, my heart broke. I saw luke and Natalie talking, laughing, she looked happier again.
"She looks happy" Michael whispered as we walked slowly to the table.
"I can't rip that from her" I looked at him and latched onto his hand.
"We have to liv." He looked down at me and I nodded, coming closer to him.
"Oh hey guys! Why the glum faces?" Natalie smiled and welcomed us to the small round table with snacks on it. She got my favorite, gummy bears.
"Natalie.. Ashton was making out with kay in the bathroom stall.. I'm sorry..."
Michael let the words flow out of his mouth so I didn't have to say it.
Natalie looked straight at me, tears forming in her eyes. Then she looked at Luke.
Suddenly, she kissed luke.
Michael and I looked at eachother, confused. Then we both smiled, knowing how happy she would be with him, and how he would treat her right.
Then, ashton and kay come running into the cafeteria.
"Natalie I'm so-" ashton stopped dead in his tracks seeing Natalie and luke together.
Natalie and luke unlatched, and the silence in the room was tense. I looked over at Kay and I saw her head turn.
Before we knew it, ashton had started running for luke. You could see the veins in his head, and his teeth were clenched.
Michael tried to stop ashton, by holding him back, but instead he just got a nasty punch right in the eye. Yet he didn't shutter, he held him back.
"Luke fucking run!!" I screamed to him. He tried bringing Natalie, but she pushed him away and told him to run.
He ran out of the cafeteria indecisively. I saw kay walk towards the back exit.
"You better stay right here." I Said, as if I had eyes on the back of my head.
I could hear her footsteps jerk to a stop.
"Why would you do this ashton? You were my-" she had already wiped the tears away.
"Obviously I wasn't much considering you kissed luke right after you found out that I-" ashton had calmed down by now, so Mikey could now focus on his eye, which was already bruising.
"Don't say it ashton!! What you did wasn't a pinch better than what I did! It was much worse and I've lost all respect for you. I'm leaving now, have a nice life with your redhead bombshell." Her tone didn't sound hurt, it sounded
Solemn, peaceful. She was happy letting him go, and I'm proud.
During this, I was pressing a cold compress to michaels eye and giving him small pecks on the cheek. His eyes still glistened with a fiery wit even if he was hurt.
Natalie started to leave in her little strut. She brushed her hair away and walked off like a woman. I couldn't be more proud of her, and Luke (even if he was a complete coward.)
As usual, kay walked over to ashton and comforted him, eventually walking off hand and hand.
Even if these things happen, I will still be in Mikeys lap. I will be there for him. Anything can happen and we won't break.
Eventually, after ten or fifteen minutes of treating Michaels nasty black eye, we headed off towards my cabin, where kay was moving out her stuff. Who knows where it's going, but I don't care, it's all gone.
Also, luke and Natalie are there. They don't look very romantic, just casual. Talking about who knows what. Yet the lust in their eyes shine through their hard broken shells.
Michael and I lay down in my small full sized bunk, with only a small light on, and we keep each other warm. Of course Michael is the big spoon, and I'm the little spoon. He holds me tight and continues to Kiss my cheek and neck lightly.
My eyes start to weight and I start to drift off, my hands in michaels and his arms around me, our legs tangled in perfect bliss.
"I love you sweetheart, please never leave me." He kissed my neck one more time before nuzzling his head over mine and drifting off next to me.
