•Attacks•

Upon the horrifying discovery, apprehension crawled up her bones and dug its claws in her nerves. Venus turned pale. For the first time in a long time, she felt sheer horror and fear. After spending years on battling them, zombies became more of a pest than threat but this was different, this was a mutant. As much as she hated it, Venus gulped on her decision to keep this from Jimin for the time being considering all the recent anonymous attacks occurring around the borders that have been costing them tons of supplies, bringing the entire empire to the edge of its seat. Brought Jimin to the edge of his own seat as well.

For years, peace had slowly settled itself in these major domains and hope seemed brighter to have and dreams seemed easier to chase and Jimin had always been faithful to his beliefs of a better future for humanity. But out of the blue, chaos seemed to close in as well. With all the recent trouble and disturbance, humanity was slowly descending back to the times of struggling and verge of extinction. With that, Jimin had been sleepless, frazzled and unnerved. All the bad signs of a drained person. If Venera couldn't overcome their current obstacle, the other domains will be counting their days too. 

Upon that, Venus realized something. "The anonymous attacks, could those be related to-", "no, impossible. There were no casualties or sighting of any zombies. Plus, those attacks aren't targeted on humans, they were all on weaponry and defense tech. Captain Jeon suspected it to be just doofuses trying to rob Venera since supplies are more scarce now than ever". Jin cut off Venus' assumption with a clean explanation. If those attacks weren't related, it's best if she look into this herself and let Jimin deal with the weapons. 

Venus was about to warn Jin about keeping this confidential between them when someone coughed from behind, once again making her jump as if she was in some haunted house. Both of them whipped around, and Venus swiftly pulled the monitor's plugs to shut down everything, only to find a deadpanned Jimin at the doorway with crossed arms while leaning against the doorframe. He had his lengthy hair gel back, piercings decorated his features and a inky tattoo peeking from the collar of his white shirt. 

The man looked rather rough and grubby as if he just went hiking on trails of zombies with spots of dirt on his outfit, still looking handsome though. Jimin brushed off a piece of dried leaf from his shoulder as he approached the two with a hard glare on the tall man. "Kim Seok Jin, the new recruit of the department. What brings you here, in the control, alone, with my wife", his voice was harsh and tone was pointed, obviously not fond of the situation.

 But before Jimin could resume his rather rude greeting, Venus stepped in with a bright smile and a bubbly voice, one that she often used to effectively distract him, "Bear! Hi, honey. I was just about to leave after shutting down everything....with the help of Jin, of course. Did you know, Jin and Jungkook are-", again she got cut off when Jimin stepped in between them. With chest puffed, jaw clenched and eyes sharp, Jimin was putting up his ruler persona and it was glaringly obvious that he didn't like having his wife standing so close with a man. Moreover, they were in the control room, a place where only authorized access is allowed and only a handful of people were granted this with none of them being Kim Seok Jin. 

"What are you doing here in the control room, Kim. Answer me yourself", Jimin demanded with his stoic voice, indirectly telling Venus to stay out of this when he felt her fidgeting behind him. Seok Jin casted a blank glance at the woman behind Jimin before staring back at the ruler without a hint of fear, "sir, I was helping Mrs Park to shut down the monitors. She seemed troubled when Captain Jeon sent me to get her so I thought helping her with even the smallest would hopefully smooth her shoulders a little. My apologies for the trespassing, I was just looking out for my leader". Jin's steady and coherent statement took the couple by surprise, especially Venus who expected him to sell her out. His calm response to Jimin's raising anger was impressive that even the man himself lifted an eyebrow as his lips curled a little.
