Flip the Script - Lauren Jauregui

"What's your plans for tonight?" Delaney asks as you catch another one.

"The boys and Whitney think we should start Yellowstone. So when I get there I have to hook up the projector. You're coming over right?"

"I heard that's good." You both turn once the bell rings. You smile widely and Delaney hits you to tone it down.

"You finish Cameron already?" She smiles at you but shakes her head no. "Uhm well then what made you decide to grace my presents?"

"Charming aren't ya?" You just smile as Delaney disappears giving you two privacy. "I came to give you these." She puts a book bag on the counter. "You like spider man right?"

"Love and even that is an understatement." She laughs then hands you some comic books. You stare in amazement at the ones she's handing to you. "Lauren I can't take these."

"Why not?" You stop her and slide them back. "Y/n." You look to her from the tone of voice she's uses. "Why?"

"These are rare and crazy expensive."

"So. I know you don't have intentions to sell them." She's got you there. "Therefore you are taking them. I also have some Harley Quinn ones and other villains. Would you like these?"

"What villains?" You say hopping up on the counter. You gesture for her to do the same. She does. From there you two get lost in the sea of comic books.

Delaney didn't bother you two and set up by herself. It wasn't much to do besides a table. The book flyer you and Tony made and a stack of books. Extra are in the back in boxes. The refreshment table was being setup tomorrow morning.

You were telling Lauren how much the comic books she just gave you go for.

"Are you serious? They can't just print new ones?"

"They are rare ones. Ones I never thought I would see. Until you of course." You thank her again.

"No big deal. My tio had them in a box. I decided you might want them."

"I'm glad I came to mind."

"And I appreciate the comic book education you provided to me."

"No big deal." You two were just staring at each other. Before anything more can happen your phone is ringing. "Sorry." You grab it and see its Whitney. Shit...

"Hey Witt."

"Hey loser. You okay?"

"Uhmm yea. Just got a little busy."

"Okay just checking. Delaney got here not that long ago. Remember tonight is Yellowstone night." You nod and quickly say bye.

"I didn't mean to keep you after hours. I'm sorry." Lauren says as she gets off the counter.

"No. Don't worry." You move the stack of comics she brought you. "Thank you for these again."

"Ughhh it's like the 50th time you've said it. You really love comic huh?"

"No just really appreciative."

"Glad. I'm gonna go finish Cameron. Wait have you finished the books I recommended already?" You nod and she seems surprised.

"I love Fahrenheit 451 so now it's permanently one I added to my collection. I also started The Great Gatsby. I like it so far. Dune was a great read as well. The Giver is going to have to wait." You start placing the comic books in your bag carefully. You grab your keys and both of you head towards the door.

"How fast do you read?" You close and lock the door.

"800 to 1200 per minute."

"Liar."
