The Coward

About a year later, Rumplestiltskin went outside to check on Sienna. She was playing with the other children in the village. They were playing with a ball and one of the little boys ran into Sienna and knocked her down. Rumplestiltskin charged out as fast as he could on his crutch, but as he got there, Sienna was sitting on the ground laughing.

"Sienna! Are you alright dear?" He bent down and lightly touched her head. She looked at him confused.

"Papa, I'm fine. Darren ran into me on accident." She stood up and brushed herself off. Rumplestiltskin suddenly felt a shove from behind and found himself against the wall of a building. He heard men laughing and saw it was the fathers of these children. One of them came up to him.

"Well well well." He said, a little girl in a frilly pink dress close behind." Look what the cat dragged in.

Rumplestiltskin. The coward. Coming to save his daughter." All the other men laughed at the idea of Rumplestiltskin saving anyone.

"Please. Just leave me be. I just came to make sure my daughter was alright after she fell down." Rumplestiltskin whispered.

"I'm sure you did. Though I doubt that you could hav stopped any of these children from hurting you, much less your daughter. Why, I'd even bet that once you saw the size of my daughter, that you'd be running for the hills!" The other men laughed, then they all left, leaving Rumpelstiltskin with the children. Then they all followed their fathers. Sienna ran to one of them.

"Wait! Where are you going?" She asked the boy. He gave her a disgusts look and turned away.

"Away from you! You and you father! My father told me that being a coward was passed down from fathet to child and that it was so bad it was like a disease!" Them he ran off with the other children. Sienna watched then leave, then hugged her father tight.
