She did a few check ups and asked me questions about if I felt nausea or vomiting or of that sort. I answered all her questions and she said, "Your report will come back very soon. By then, you can just wait outside." I nodded and got up. I went and sat outside with Daksh and waited. Her very soon was indeed very soon and she came out with the reports and a smile. "Congratulations. You are pregnant," she said. I felt as if the ground had slipped beneath my feet and my heart raced. Daksh hugged me tightly and gave his congratulations. "Thank you doctor," he said. "Take care," she said and went back inside. "Shehnaaz!" Daksh exclaimed, "You're going to be a mother! Oh my God!" My eyes filled with tears and heart exploded with joy. I smiled and sat down trembling in nervousness with happiness, excitement and fear all together. "We have to give this news to everyone at home," he said, "Let's go." As he was about to take off, I held back his hand. "I want this moment to be extremely special for everyone. Let's plan something," I said. He nodded and asked, "What do you want me to do?" "Let's go, I'll explain," I said. I instructed everything to Daksh as we drove home. Reaching, I went upstairs and left him to get the work done. I looked at Sidharth on the bed and sat down next to him. Smiling with tears of joy in my eyes, I caressed his face and looked at him. Without being able to control myself, I kissed his forehead and continued looking at him. "I'll give you the greatest news in the morning my love. Thank you for giving me this huge happiness," I said in my mind to him. I laid down next to him and cuddled up in his arms, not being able to wait for everyone to wake up.

I clearly couldn't sleep and was too impatient to wait so I decided to check Daksh's preparation downstairs. I got ready as early as four o' clock and went down. Daksh had finished everything just as I had instructed. The entire house was decorated with flowers and lights. I went to the kitchen and checked on the chefs who we had to wake up earlier than usual. Most of the meals were finished and all ready to be plated. Going to the head chef, I asked to be assured, "Is everything going ok?" "Yes ma'am," he said. "I'm sorry I had to wake you up this early. But you also will get a reward for this and a bonus for something very special," I said. "Thank you ma'am," he said and continued. Looking at the clock, the time was moving very slowly. Three hours later, Mom, Dad and Rahul came out of their rooms for breakfast and I hid and looked at them all. They all were surprised at the decorations and behind them was Sidharth fixing his cufflinks. He also looked surprise at the arrangements. "Is today some special occasion?" Mom asked. Daksh came and acted normal greeting, "Good morning." "Daksh, what is all this about?" Sidharth asked. "I don't know sir," he lied shrugging his shoulders. "Where is Shehnaaz?" Mom asked. "I don't know. She wasn't in the room," Sidharth said. My hands and feet trembled in eagerness. "Perhaps she is in the kitchen. Let's go for breakfast," Dad said. They all gathered at the dining table and was surprised to see their plates set already and covered. "What's all this about?" Dad asked chuckling.

They all sat down and I finally came forward. "Shehnaaz, where were you? And what's all the decoration about?" Sidharth asked. "I have something to tell you all," I said. "Now? Or post breakfast?" He asked. I gave a signal to the servants and they came and held the cover of our plates. "I want everyone to close their eyes and until I don't say, don't open. And no cheating," I instructed. They all did exactly as I said. I nodded at the servants and they all lifted the covers. "Ok, you can open your eyes now," I said and they opened to their favourite food and a small chit. Mom and Dad's chit wrote, 'Soon to be grandparents,' Rahul's chit read, 'Soon to be little uncle,' and Sidharth's one read, 'Soon to be Papa. Thank you for the greatest gift of life.' As they read it, they looked at me and Mom and Dad were the first to react and they rushed to me, hugging and congratulating me. Rahul came and hugged me. As for Sidharth, he sat and fell into a daze. Tears formed in his eyes and I went and held his shoulder. He stood up and looked at me. Resting his hand on my womb, he smiled and wanted to speak but couldn't find words. "You're going to be a father," I said. His tears dropped and he smiled brightly before taking me into his arms. The whole family was celebrating and on top of the world. "Thank you. I love you," he said in my ear.

The next few months began to get harder and harder for my body. Regular check ups at my gynaecologist and work out classes for pregnant women became my routine. I was being pampered beyond imagination by everyone and the new member's room was in full swing. Toys kept coming into the house everyday and I wasn't even allowed to cut an apple by myself. Mom explained a lot about pregnancy and becoming a mother to me which made me both nervous but excited to start this new phase. Pregnancy cravings made the family go out and beyond to fulfil them and my morning sickness began to irritate me more and more by the day. When I was not able to climb the stairs no longer, we shifted to the pool house and Sidharth took every opportunity to spend with me. I was overjoyed with my family. There was nothing more I could have wished for. My life was getting complete. Then, the gender reveal date came. Everyone gathered outside in the garden to witness. In the night sky, fireworks flew up and burst in pink all over, revealing a girl being born. Sidharth jumped in happiness and hugged me tightly. I knew that he wanted a girl child and always said that he wanted her to be exactly like me. His dream came true. Then, the most awaited day came. I woke up in the morning with a slight pain in my stomach and during the day, it got worse and worse. By evening the pain became unbearable and Sidharth began panicking when I told him that I was going into labour. "Oh God! Oh God! What do I do?" He asked confused. Irritated with the pain, I screamed, "Take me to the hospital. Quickly!" "Yeah. Yeah," he said and picked me up. He ran out the house with me and everyone caught up seeing us and understanding the situation.

Daksh sped the car to the hospital while Sidharth sat with me and kept saying encouraging words to me. "Don't worry. We are also there. Just be patient," he repeated. I was rushed to the maternity ward once reaching the hospital and changed. Sidharth was the only one allowed to be with me and he sat with me, holding onto my hand tightly. I screamed to the top of my lungs to relief my pain and after ten life changing minutes, our daughter came into the world. Her cries filled the room and Sidharth looked at me and smiled. He kissed my forehead and I laid, exhausted as ever and relieved to have her. The nurses cleaned her up and handed me. "Your daughter," she said and my heart was overwhelmed to hold her for the first time. Sidharth hugged me and we stared at how beautiful she was. Our first born. "Sana," Sidharth said naming her. I was satisfied. "Thank you for bringing our child into the world," he said, "I love you." "We love you too," everyone exclaimed standing at the door. Mom came to me and asked, "How are you feeling?" "I'm relieved," I said. She took Sana in her arms and the grandparents and Rahul played with her. Daksh came and smiled at me. "That's my strong sister. You have more strength than any man to bear this pain. It's rightfully said, a woman's strength must never be underestimated. I'm proud of you little sister," he said.

Since I had a normal delivery, I was discharged later that night. As I reached home, everyone welcomed me with cheers and smiles. "You should go and take some rest. You look exhausted," Mom said. Smiling, I said, "I'll sit here for a while." They led me to the sofa and I sat down. Mom held Sana and Sidharth sat with me, intertwining our fingers. The family was completely complete. Everyone was happy and I was happy to give them the apple of their eyes. "I don't want another child. That's it. I can't see you in any more pain," Sidharth said to me. "But I want a son too," I said pouting. "Shehnaaz, no, Sana is enough," he said. "You won't decide that. I will," I said. "But..." he started and my glare alone was enough to make him quiet. "Does this mean that our love is going to change?" He asked. "Our love will always remain the same. Dangerous Love," I said smiling. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me.
