"Grayson . . ."

"Hmm?" he responded, slightly looking over me.

"Daan tayo ng pharmacy."

"Bakit?"

"May bibilhin lang ako."

"Ano? May mga gamot naman sa bahay ko."

I gulped before answering him. "I'm going to buy birth control pills."

"Grayson, I need to buy that."

He scoffed, carrying my things as we entered the gate. "What for?"

"We just has sex last night and earlier this morning! Of course, I need that!"

He sighed before facing me. "Why? What for? Paano kung hindi tumalab ang pills?"

I sighed. "That's the pills that my OB prescribed for me to take. Tumatalab 'yon!"

"What if there's already a thing in your womb? Isn't it too late for you to take it?"

I sighed as I followed him inside. "I'm confident right now because I just had my ovulation last week. There'll be a low chance of pregnancy at this phase so I'm slightly confident."

He chuckled as he faced me. "Slightly. Ayaw mo bang magkaanak?"

"What???"

He looked at me with his most serious aura. It is the first time I saw him like this. Is it because we are having arguments like this the first time?

"You don't want a child?" he asked. "It doesn't matter, though. I just wanted to know."

I gulped as I answered him. "I want a child, of course. I have been longing to become a mother of my own child, Grayson. But—"

"But you want your ex-boyfriend to be the father of your child, is that it?" he said with his forehead creased.

"What?" I sighed in frustration as I sat on the couch. "Hindi gano'n 'yon! I barely even think of him. Saan nanggagaling 'yan, Grayson?"

He sighed. "Then what's stopping you? What do you need those pills for? You want to have a child but what? Not with me?"

I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair before standing up again to look at him straight.

"What are we?"

His mouth parted. He couldn't answer this one question I asked him. He just couldn't talk. He looked down as he gulped repeatedly.

"Answer me, Grayson. What are we, then? We had sex last night and earlier today but what are we? I don't even know if this whole thing is right because I certainly know that we have no relationship. We never confirmed what we are but right now, let me ask you that. What are we?"
