They arrived at Ariana’s school. There were a few incidents along the way, but Samon was always there to protect her. “I’ll put an energy shield around the school, so you don’t need to worry.” Samon said. “Thank you Samon.” Ariana said. “Have a nice day at school.” Samon said. “Thanks. I’ll see you when I get off.” Ariana said and walked away.

It was break, and she was sitting in the desk, and kept sighing. “What’s wrong, Ariana?” Her friend asked coming over. “Mei! It’s nothing.” Ariana said. “Alright then. Can you give me a hand in the library please?” Mei asked. “Yeah, sure.” Ariana said and they headed their way to the library.

They arrived at the library, putting books away. “Is it me or is it cold in here?” Mei asked. “Now that you mention it, you’re right.” Ariana said. “Maybe it’s because there’s an evil spirit following you.” Mei said. “Uh… Maybe.” Ariana said. “I totally forgot! She has a sixth sense!” Ariana thought. “Have you been feeling like someone’s following you?” Mei asked. “Well… It does feel like it, so yeah…” Ariana said. “Really? But wait… Don’t you have a guy already?” Mei asked. “What are you saying?” Ariana asked. “Don’t pretend you don’t know! That super cute priest!” Mei said excitedly. “Meaning… Samon? Let me tell you something, he’s way older than me, and I only think of him as a brother.” Ariana said. “Really? You don’t have feelings for him what so ever?” Mei asked. “No, only a sibling relationship.” Ariana said. “Really?! You must be blind! You should get glasses.” Mei said. “I have 20/20 vision, but I will always think of him as a brother, and that will never change.” Ariana said. “You’re so close to someone that cute… How could you not have at least a tiny crush on him?” Mei asked. “He’s been taking care of me and the shrine in my parent’s place ever since the beginning of my middle school year. My older brother would’ve been the one doing that, but he’s studying aboard. I’m telling you… He’s like ohana to me.” Ariana explained. “Well… Alright. But if I were you, I would get in on that.” Mei said. “Oh my god, Mei!” Ariana said.

After a long but fun day at school, Ariana was walking out with Mei. “Do you want to come over?” Mei asked. “Yeah, sure!” Ariana responded. “Ariana!” A voice called out. The both of them turned to the voice, and saw Samon walking towards them. “Hey Samon! What’s up?” Ariana asked. “I came to walk you home.” Samon said. “Really?” Ariana asked. “Samon! Long time, no see!” Mei said excitedly. “Mei, it’s nice to see you again.” Samon said. “You’re going to walk her home, eh? You two sure are close. Well… I don’t want to get in your way or anything. I’ll go home.” Mei said. “Wait, Mei! You’ve got this totally wrong!” Ariana said. “So he’s ‘like a brother’, eh? Pretty sly even coming from you.” Mei said. “I am not sly! He is just like a brother!” Ariana said. “Right. Right.” Mei said winking. “That’s right. I’m like a brother to Ariana.” Samon said. “Hear that? I told you so! He’s only a brother to me!” Ariana said. “Wow… How many times have I said that already?” Ariana thought. He looked down. “It’s like she’s says, we’re not what you’re thinking.” Samon said with a smile. “Ok~ I’ll just leave it at that for now.” Mei said. “Mei…” Ariana said. “It’s getting darker, so I have to go now! I’ll see you tomorrow.” Mei said. “Wait! I thought you wanted me to come over?” Ariana asked. “Don’t worry. You two enjoy yourselves. So… Bye!” Mei said and walked off.

Ariana slightly groaned and facepalmed herself. “I swear…” She mumbled. “Ariana, do you mind if we took a little detour? I need to stop by somewhere.” Samon said. “Sure thing! Where are you going?” Ariana asked. “Well... I need to tell you something really important, so I have to talk to you somewhere in private.” Samon said. “Uh… Sure.” Ariana answered.
