As Edgar was Layin there enjoying his day off he wondered "what do people do when they have a crush" Edgar was still like what about this whole new liking thing so he was still confused on what to do about it but he thought the best thing to do was to let it sit out and ride with whatever's comes next

(Next day)

Edgar went into work like usual but surprisingly colette was already there and as soon as she saw him she ran up to him and gave him a big hug "awww Edgar I missed you" but Edgar hated hugs so he immediately pushed her off and said "don't do that I hate hugs" colette giggled "come on emo aren't I special" Edgar looked at her with his usual dead expression and colette just stuck her tongue at him,after that Edgar went to his post ready just to work another day

While Edgar was ringing up customers colette ended up sneaking on it "CUTE SURPRISE"colette shouted as she put a spike hat on Edgar,Edgar who jumped a bit,he looked at colette and said "colette I'm tryna do my job don't disturb me"while angrily taking off the hat "Aw come on it was just a little prank" the customer giggled a bit took her payed items,thanked Edgar and left "colette we hang out afterwards when I'm on break" colette rolled her eyes playfully and said "fine" pouty as she went to go restock,Edgar kinda smiled as colette walked away but made sure no one saw by covering it with his scarf,

(Break time)

Edgar went to his usual spot but he didn't see colette there and was wondering if she forget he then said in his mind "psh I don't care if she shows up not like she means that much" but as time went by Edgar began to get impatient more and more he then looked out a window and saw white hair and knew it was colette but when he looked more at it he saw that she was fanning over spike sense he happened to walk by,Edgar then felt a sense of jealously which he thought was stupid sense he just said she doesn't mean that much anyways but when he saw spike give colette one of his thorns and how excited colette was he got even more jealous he was then thinking of a gift to get her or to get revenge on her but he decided on doing both first-pretending to be annoyed at her and make her feel sorry and then giving her a pair of his purple gloves that he wears sense he has so many pairs he then thought that was the perfect plan

(After break)

He went back to his register and saw colette enter the back door but he didn't wave to her or say hi he just stayed quiet and looked at emo magazines,after a little bit colette came by saying "hey sorry I didn't come by I was um restocking and didn't realize how much I had" Edgar then froze knowing that she's lying right to his face but he didn't wanna do anything sense he didn't want her to think of him as a creep from looking at her thru a window he then saw the thorn that spike gave her sticking out her pocket then it went thru it,his scarf quickly snatched it and then asked"then where did u get this" colette then panicked and said "hey be careful I don't wanna damage it I'm gonna put it in my scrapbook" now realizing Edgar might know she quickly said "I um got it from the storage room where the restocks are,Edgar then quickly said "but this is real" then jabbing his finger enough into the thorn making it bleed a bit which he didn't mind he was used to getting hurt sense he would jump from very high places and sometimes fall far down,colette then quickly grab his hand letting the thorn drop too the floor saying "hey be careful I don't want you hurt" as she grabbed his hand and took him to where bandages were,Edgar was amazed at how she let the thorn drop to the floor and instead helped him he ended up blushing pretty hard sense this showed how much she cared for him and before he knew it he was sat in a chair while colette was looking thru some draws searching for a bandage "finally here's one"as colette was wrapping his finger Edgar blushed hard,he tried to cover it with his scarf but colette ended up seeing a bit "E-edger are you blushing" colette said "no ur just seeing things" Edgar said,but colette needed to be 100% sure without any saying and any indication colette ripped down Edgar's scarf not to hard to hurt the scarf thought just expose Edgar's face but in doing so she fell forward too Edgar nearly 2 inches from his face now they were both blushing hard but they didn't back up instead Edgar knew this could be his only chance,he grabbed Colette's cheek and they both knew what was gonna happen as they got so close Jacky bursted in the room "EDGAR WHERE TF ARE YOU THERES CUSTOMERS WAITING TO PAY FOR THERE SH*T" this caused Edgar and colette to panic and pull away but also causing them both to fall on there butt,as Jacky stood over them pissed she lifted up her hands,Edgar and colette simply braced for impact and that happened

Edgar then hurried back to his post(with a bump on his head) and started hurrying to get the customers stuff payed for,colette immediately ran to her post so Jacky wouldn't hit her hard again or get yelled at by griff,Edgar finally finished the final customers and just rested his chin on the desk until -SLAM- Jacky's hand made a loud bang on the desk and Edgar jumped up in fear "sooo I saw you and colette in the break room"Jacky said,Edgar then blushed and said "n-nothing happened you saw nothing" "duh nothing happened no lips touch or anything"Jacky said annoyed "but I'm not gonna say sorry for ruining ur chance cause 1 I don't say sorry 2 it was ur fault sense ur break ended 10 mins before and 3 I hate saying sorry when I don't have too" "so what do u want" said Edgar "I want you to tell me every single detail about this love fest ur having every single time something happens"Jacky said "what hell no I'm not telling you anything"Edgar said "GRIFF"Jacky said (dating is not allowed between employees-rule by griff to keep employees from getting distracted) "shhh shhhh ok ok I will just don't tell griff"Edgar said "tell me what"griff said behind Jacky "ohhh umm Ummm well uhh"Edgar said while panicking Jacky smacked the register making it act weird and said "this old registrars needs repairs "NOOO not my beautiful register"griff said as he took the register back to his office and shut the door,Edgar sighed in relief as Jacky gave him a playful punch on the shoulder"don't forget our deal"Jacky said "ya I won't"Edgar said but as he said that colette walked out from a room sense she was done restocking just to see Jacky and Edgar together "hey here's my number so you can tell me what happens"Jacky said as she wrote it down and gave it to Edgar,Edgar just took it and said "alright" but colette thought that Edgar was hitting on Jacky and her this broke her heart sense she started to develop feelings for Edgar and was thought he didn't like her,she then went back into the room and cried a bit

(Closing time)

Edgar was prepping everything to close shop but when went to Colette's post she wasn't there he was confused at where she could be and couldn't text her sense he didn't even have her number but he just chose to ignore it,as Edgar was turning off the lights and everything he heard a noise in the back and thought someone was intruding he got his scarf ready to punch someone tryna break in,he then jumped to the noise only to find colette leaving out the back door,he landed softly and asked curiously"colette what are you doing here we leave out the front door" but colette didn't respond and he thought something was wrong"hey is everything ok did something happen"Edgar said worriedly "what do you see me as"colette said,Edgar was surprised at the question but didn't wanna reveal his feelings sense he was nervous at what she would say "ur my best friend at work even better than Jacky"Edgar said,this made colette feel a bit better but she was still sad that Edgar said best friend she put on a smile and said"yay"cheerfully and gave em a hug to be nice,Edgar smiled

(After)

Edgar locked the door to the gift shop and they were both standing in front of the store " well I'll see you tomorrow at work"Edgar said "ya I'll see you too"colette said,they then parted ways back to there apartments,colette was still bummed that Edgar thought of her only as a best friend but she then thought "maybe it's cause we don't know each-other enough yet"she then got a smile on her face while skipping home "in the future he'll be mine and only mine"colette said menacingly,Edgar arrived at his apartment complex and while he was going to his apartment he felt a punch to his shoulder which his scarf immediately punched back but it was Jacky who caught the scarf's punch "oh Jacky what are you doing here"Edgar said "I live here who knew we were neighbors sort"Jacky said "hm ya never seen ya"Edgar said "ya ya enough about that now tell me everything that happened"Jacky said "oh ya guess I gotta" as he let her inside and told her everything, "wow one hell of a story can't wait to hear the rest but that's another day plus it's getting late I better head back to my place"Jacky said while getting up and stretching "ya I'll tell you if another thing happens"Edgar said as he layed down "alr peace"Jacky said while leaving,Edgar then got ready for bed and as soon as he flopped on his bed got a notification on his phone,thinking it was Jacky but was surprised to see it was colette,Edgar sat up wondering how she got his number even tho he never gave it to her,Colette's was laughing as she got off the phone with griff,she made up a lie saying she needed to tell Edgar about work stuff and griff ended up giving her his number sense he believed her and wanted to keep counting his money,she giggled a bit and simply texted him "goodnight" with some funny spike stickers Edgar simply responded with a bland goodnight and went too bed not noticing the red flag that was too come with this relationship.

(Wow 1904 words not bad I have some decent plans for this series that I'm gonna try and make soon thanks for readin and catch you all at the next story)
