New coworker

Edgar was a boy who was always known for not caring,lots of sarcasm and having little emotion and it's how he's always been and he didn't really care what others thought

He worked at star work at a little gift shop selling merchandise of the brawlers but he didn't care for his job just so he could meet ends meet

He always was tired and whenever someone who wanted to talk to him who wasn't griff or a coworker he would always push them away however one day that all changed when a girl who loved brawlers showed up and changed him

"Ugh another boring day"Edgar said as he got out of red and was getting ready for the day,Edgar also had a double shift so he was extra bummed out and annoyed but he did hear about a new coworker showing up so he couldn't wait to see who it was,as Edgar made his way to his job he stopped and spotted a girl who was overly cheery and excited with a scrap book in hand,oversized hoodie,2 buttons of the brawlers spike and piper walking down the street which he didn't care of until he noticed the girl kept going to the way he was he thought to himself "maybe she's the new employee" but he also sighed thinking to himself how annoying it would be to deal with her

When he arrived he was a bit shocked to find out he was right it was her who was the new employee she went up to everyone greeting herself and when she finally ran up to Edgar she said "HI I'm colette nice to meet you" while shaking his hand violently,Edgar was obviously annoyed but he simply said "my names Edgar" and walked to his post like he did everyday

As Edgar sat down at the register and waited for customers colette came up to him again saying "hey so who's ur favorite brawler" Edgar look at her dead and said "no one not even myself" colette looked shocked and screamed "YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE SPIKE" everyone in the store looked at them,Edgar was so embarrassed he wanted to make his scarf punch her so bad but he couldn't instead he said to her "damn don't scream it it's not even a big deal" colette took a seat next to him and said "it is a big deal he's like the strongest and cutest out of all the brawlers" Edgar rolled his eyes and that made colette get an idea she teased "I've even seen him beat you a couple of times" Edgar turned a bit red and instantly faced her "t-that's cause he caught me off guard so it didn't count" she giggled and Edgar noticed her razor sharp teeth reminding him of a shark,colette said "all im hearing is excuses I mean he is legendary" Edgar said kinda loud "that doesn't mean anything" as colette was about to speak griff interrupted "colette I didn't hire you to talk with Edgar do ur job" colette immediately got off her butt and ran over to the boxes with brawler merchandise in them she yelped when she saw spike plushies,both griff and Edgar just looked at her and went back to doing what they were doing

After a while Edgar saw colette trying to lift a big heavy box,he then thought "damn sucks to be her" but his scarf then nudged him to go help her even tho he didn't want his scarf made him go anyways sense it was bored of just laying around,Edgar then approached colette "hey need a scarf" colette then said "what" panting,then Edgar made his scarf lift up the heavy box with relative ease,colette was amazed at how strong Edgar's scarf was "still lost to a cute cactus" Edgar's scarf then dropped the heavy box on Colette's foot and as she jumped up in the air in pain Edgar giggled a little bit,colette threw one of her in retaliation hitting Edgar "ow damn that hurts" "good then we're even" colette said "no my scarf threw the box on you it wasn't me"Edgar said "well it's basically part of you so quit being a baby"colette said "oh please I could 100 more of those hearts and still be standing"Edgar said "oh ya let's test"colette said, as Edgar and colette got ready to have a sparing match Jacky came in slamming both of there heads down"are you both stupid fighting inside a store" as colette and Edgar rubbed there heads in pain Jacky said"don't let me catch you 2 doing dumbsh*t again or I'll hit even harder" and then she left

"At least she won't tell griff on us colette said "oh ya Jacky hates snitches trust me never tell on her she'll make you regret" "noted as colette threw some thumbs up and sorry for you know being a jerk" "it's fine it was my scarf" as colette and Edgar giggled they made eye contact and Edgar smiled a bit,they both turned away blushing a bit "well guess I better get back to my post before griff yells at me"Edgar said "oh ya me too don't wanna make a bad first day impression"they then went back to doing there work

-timeskip to after work-

"Man finally closing"as Edgar said in a sigh of relief,as he was getting ready to give griff the money they made today he saw out of the corner of his eye colette sneaking another spike pin for her scrapbook he simply let out a little giggle and ignored it,he then went to griff and was getting ready to close for today "hey colette come on shops closing" she jumped up getting a bit scared sense she didn't think anyone was in the room but she just forgot to close the door "oh heh heh Edgar sorry didn't see ya there" Edgar instantly knew she was hiding something but he wanted to see it,he closed the door and walked towards her"whatcha stealing" colette then began to get nervous"pshh me I would never steal come on Edgar" he then walked to her and he noticed her getting more nervous and nervous,he then tried to reach around her but he kept turning and tuning fast,after awhile if this there faces accidentally got close to kissing then both immediately backed off blushing pretty hard and as in doing so colette dropped the Edgar scarf merchantman ,he looked at colette and blushed a bit she panicked and said "I needed some things for my scrapbook" looking at colette Edgar thought"she's..kinda cute" he then ripped a thread off his scarf which he did not like and smacked Edgar but he didn't bother he then gave the thread to colette saying "here you can use this for the page"not making eye contact a bit embarrassed,colette smiled as she took the thread"thanks this is even better" as she put it in her scrapbook,they then realized the time and saw it was like 45 mins past closing time"oh sh*t" um we gotta get going" colette agreed.

After they finished up the place Edgar locked the doors and looked at colette" well ig I'll see u tmr"Edgar said "ya I'll see you tmr too Thxs for making my first day a fun one"colette said "ya anytime bye"Edgar said as he started working a different route to his house"bye"colette said walking in the opposite direction "man what is this feeling I'm having like when we were close" Edgar blushed as the thought came to his mind"no I don't like her it's just the first day I've met her what do you think"looking at his scarf,his scarf then made a heart shape indicating that Edgar did like colette but he brushed it off "ya ur crazy no way I'll give it a little more time and then think about it for real"but it wouldn't leave Edgar's mind no matter what he did he kept turning and turning all night thinking about it sense it was his first ever time romantically thinking about someone,he then sighed sitting up and looking at his clock which said 3:26AM,he sighed again as he wondered"is this what liking someone feels like"Edgar never really liked anyone he was always bullied as a kid which is why he went quiet the only people who he loved were his mom and dad but they sadly passed after Edgar left the house due to a robbery but that was a couple of years ago and Edgar hasn't loved anyone the same sense but for some reason when he thought of colette he thought of romantic stuff with her and him which he tried to brush off but couldn't he didn't get a minute of sleeping that night staying up on his computer and thinking of colette luckily it was Saturday for him so he didn't have work to do but he kinda wanted to go into work just to see colette again and talk with her,he then knew from that moment "yup after all this time I finally got a crush"
