The old man

It was a beautiful day today , so I thought I would take a walk in the park 1 mile from house . My mom was at work and didn't get off tell 3:20 p.m , it was 1:34 p.m . I thought I could play at the park for a little bit then get home . It was fun I played tag with some kids and even got ice cream from the ice cream man who came by . It was 2:56 p.m . I had to get home so my mom wasn't worried . I walked and walked and kept hearing things I thought it was just some animals in the trees so I kept going on . But I kept hearing it again it almost sounded like footsteps and no one else was walking on the streets . I got a little scared so I stared running and running I never looked back . I got to my house and locked all the doors it was 3:17 p.m , I just needed to wait a little bit more tell my mom came home . Then I heard a man saying "help me ". I didn't know what to do I thought I had to go help him . So I ran down stairs and saw the man that lived across the street from me . It all made since he just was hurt and must have saw me go into my house . So he came over so I could help him. I asked him what was wrong... He did look a little pale . He said he needed to get to his wife's house because she needed him and he got scared because he thought she was gonna die . I set there for a second and then remembered my mom told me his wife died about 9 years ago . I tried telling him but then I heard my mom pulling up in the drive way . So I ran to her and told her this man was following me and he was in my house and needed his wife . And he is the old man across the street . "Mom he is in the living room ". Come look I said when I ran in there he was gone and my mom said she needed to talk to me . We set down and she told me that the old mans name was James and he loved his wife very much and everyday he goes to her grave . And either way he could have not been in our house he died in a car wreck going to her grave . THE END
