Hello everyone! Welcome to the official reboot of my RS series :D
If you're wondering "who the fuck is tinytreesap, I only know OddlesOfNoodles", I am Oddles, Oddles is me, Oddles has turned into a tree-
The last time I updated anything was in 2018, where I sort of accidentally dropped the story right in the middle of a string of flashbacks in the third arc... oops
This time, the series won't be all broken up into like 7 different books when it only needed 3... and I'm not making up stuff as I go so hopefully the story will be way more coherent
I've also ditched first person POV entirely, but there'll still be a focus on one character at a time depending on the scene
If you remember any weird or shitty plot points that honestly should've never been in the preboot, no you don't-
Some plot points are the same, and some others have changed so even readers of the preboot will get some surprises...
Make sure you read Riddling Into The Unknown by StarryCats as well because some story elements in book are borrowed from that
This book has been marked as mature as a pre-emptive measure bc there are mentions of topics like depression, abuse, general angst etc so if you're uncomfy with that, this probably isn't the story for you
But enough of my rambling, let's get this party started :D

--Riddle, Oregon--
A heavy sigh emitted from Phil as he stared out the window.
He rested his elbow against the car door, and his face against his hand. The clouds were rather dark today... never a great sign.
"How do you like high school so far?" Phil looked over to his left side as the silence was broken by the young woman in the driver's seat. Her black hair was tied up in a ponytail and she shared Phil's green eyes.
"It sucks," Phil admitted, shifting his gaze back to the sky above. "The homework just keeps getting worse... at least in middle school, teachers usually did those survey things first before cutting straight to giving you homework on the first day."
"Well, it gets better in college at least," his older sister offered with a shrug. "And trust me, high school goes by fast. One minute I was a freshman just like you, and then woosh, that all flies by and you'll be wondering how you ever thought high school would never end."
"Try having that conversation with me after I graduate," Phil remarked dryly. "It doesn't work trying to tell me that while I'm still suffering here and you've already moved on, Vanessa."
"I suppose that's true enough," Vanessa remarked after a moment. She then pulled up in the parking lot to Riddle High School.
"You might want this," Vanessa stopped Phil once he opened up his door. Reaching for the glove compartment, she pulled out an umbrella and handed it to Phil. "It's supposed to rain later on."
"Damn, I was hoping it wouldn't," Phil sighed as he accepted the umbrella. "Oh well, I guess."
"Anyway, you know the drill, there are leftovers in the fridge," Vanessa mentioned as Phil stepped out of the vehicle. "I gotta work late tonight so I probably won't be back before you're asleep, so make sure you do your homework."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it," Phil muttered and stepped out of the vehicle. "Guess I'll see you tomorrow then."
Once Phil closed the car door and waved goodbye to Vanessa, she drove away and Phil turned towards the building.
