The clamorous noise of the Kyan household could be heard. Reki's mom making breakfast for the whole family, his little sisters running around screaming, his slightly older little sister trying to get ready for school.. It is all a mess.

Reki stands in the center of his room slightly scanning it to see if he's missing anything. After a few moments he comes to a conclusion he isn't missing anything and decides to head out his door before whipping his head back to get one last look of his room. Still nothing. He shrugs it off and walks into the kitchen, where his mom is still making breakfast and preparing lunches. His mother turns to him and greets him.

"Good morning, sweetheart! How did you sleep?" She asks, lovingly before turning back to find the toast she was making burnt.

"I slept fine, just have to get through the day and I can go to a skatepark or something and finally do something fun." He rubs his eyes, grabbing a bottle of cold water out of the fridge.

His mother smiles. "It'll be the end of the day before you know it! ..Now what do I do with this toast.." She looks around the kitchen.

"I should probably get going." Reki takes the cap off of the bottle of water and takes a sip from it before almost getting run over by his two baby sisters, who are still waiting for breakfast.

"Well then, I'll see you later, and say 'hello' to Langa for me!" Her tone of voice, as sweet and loving as always.

Reki smiles at his mother's response. "I will, don't worry." He bends down and hugs his two baby sisters before leaving his house.

-

He steps outside, breathing in the fresh air as he grabs his skateboard and skates down the road down to Langa and his usual meeting spot.

Nobody's there. Reki raises and eyebrow, and looks down the street both ways. There no sign of Langa. Concerned, he sits down on the sidewalk, taking out his phone to text Langa.

"Hey, Langa, where are you?" The message reads.

No response. A moment later his attention is caught by the little typing bubbles. He taps his foot against the concrete of the sidewalk.

"Sorry. I'll be there in a second. I'm just running a bit late today. :)"

Reki sighs in relief, he's glad there's nothing going on with him.. Other than being late.

Fifteen minutes pass, and Reki looks to the side of the road, to finally see Langa riding down the street on his skateboard. As he approaches, Reki can immediately tell something is off. The closer he gets he can tell he looks off. He finally meets Reki at their spot.

"Good morning, Langa." He smiles, hoping for a response.

Langa gives off a small smile, "Good morning."

"Hey, dude. Is something wrong? No offense, but you look rough.." He stands up in an awkward stance.

The blue haired boy doesn't respond, but looks down at his shoes instead.

"No, no, no! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!" Reki shakes his hands.

Langa shakes his head. "It's nothing. I'm okay." He again, gives off an odd smile which immediately fades.

Reki stands, crossing his arms. "So, should we get going now..? I don't want to be late."

Langa blankly nods before getting on his skateboard and skating away.

Reki, a bit angered, gets onto his skateboard too, and follows.

-

They get to their school, which is already in session. They open the old doors, and head to their lockers, which are conveniently placed next to each other's. Reki, digging through his locker, peeks through the space between the door. He sees Langa, just staring at his locker. His eyes almost have no feeling to them. His eyes are usually bright, like the blue sky. They always have some sort of sparkle, or twinkle to them. That sparkle was absent. Reki immediately slams his locker shut, which snaps Langa out of his trance. He rotates his head in the direction on the loud sound, his messy blue hair lashing in the same direction. Reki doesn't say a word to Langa. He instead walks away towards his class. He doesn't know why Langa isn't telling him what's wrong.. He's his best friend.. Why doesn't he trust him? He's stopped by the back of his shirt being tugged. He looks back, it's of course, Langa.

"I'm sorry." His usual quiet voice seems loud in the empty hallway.

"For what?"

Langa shrugs, before loosening his grip on Reki's shirt. They both continue to walk to their class.

The walk down the desolate hallway was quiet, until Langa breaks the silence.

"Do you think.. I could spend the night at your house tonight?" He sounds almost anxious to ask.

Reki stops in his tracks. "Uh, sure, you sounded really nervous to ask me. Are you sure you're okay? Usually you are straight up with me." He asks. Langa gives a reassuring smile, before continuing to walk down the halls. Though it's loose, Langa's grip on Reki's clothing still remains. He doesn't want to be separated from him. They finally meet their classroom door, Reki opens it. Their teacher looks at the door, which just opened. He watches the two boys walk through the door, and sit down at their seats. He raises his eyebrow, and goes back to teaching. Reki tries his hardest to concentrate in class, but all he can think about is Langa. He looks half asleep, he's not taking notes like he usually does, he has barely said a word to him the whole day. Reki lets out a huge sigh, and tears of a piece of paper out of his notebook. He scribbles a few words down with his barely-working pencil.

"You sure you're okay?" He writes, with a frowny face next to the message. He quickly tosses it over to Langa's desk after folding it as small as he could. He watches Langa pick up the paper and unfold it. He watches as his eyes glide across the paper, reading his question. He looks at Reki, before writing something else down on the paper. He passes it back over.

"I will tell you after school." The short note reads. The red-head looks at Langa. He nods. He's genuinely concerned about Langa. He's his only friend. He's the only person he loves.

After a long few hours of working, it was finally time for lunch. Hopefully Langa opens up to Reki. He knows he's trustworthy enough. Reki sits in his normal spot for lunch. Langa is late again. He said he had to talk with a teacher. He finally arrives and sits down next to Reki.

"So.. you feel comfortable telling me what's going on?" Reki asks.

Langa's rapidly texting on his phone. He has a worried look on his face. Curious, Reki peeks over at his device. He can only make out that he's texting his mother, and the couple sentences of, "I don't want to." or "Please, let me stay." Langa notices Reki peeking at his phone and immediately shuts it off. Reki's eyes move from the phone to Langa's face. He has dark circles under his eyes, and he looks sleep deprived. His eyes gleamed, but not in a positive way. He was on the verge of tears. Reki's face softens.

"Hey man.. what's wrong?" He asks.

Langa forms a tired smile. He sits in silence.

"I'm-" He stutters. "I'm moving back to Canada. And I don't want to leave you." Tears start streaming down his face like hot wax dripping down a candle.

"I'm-" His voice is hard to hear through his constant hiccups. "I'm sor-ry."

Reki sits in shock. All of Langa and his memories flood back. His first ollie. His first race. When he was stupid, and went up against Adam. When he saw him from the elevator at the hospital. Suddenly, he was crying too.

"You aren't really leaving.. Are you? This has to b- be a prank."

Langa miserably nods his head. "I'm leaving."

Reki throws himself into Langa's chest. He hits Langa on the arm.

"I'm going to miss you, so much." He hugs Langa, squeezing around his waist. Langa hugs him back. He wraps his pale arms around Reki's back.

"..This isn't the end, right?"
