//Yo, so this story was originally on a google doc so I'm going to try and split it up nicely but the chapters might be short. Please enjoy this as much as I enjoy writing it//
Harry can't remember how he ended up in the hospital wing, but when he opens his eyes he sees a white ceiling he knows all too well. He's flooded with dread as he thinks about Ron and Hermione's faces when they see him. This is the 7th time he's wound up in the hospital since he came back to Hogwarts and December just started. He causes them to worry far too much. They shouldn't have to worry so much about him, especially after the war.
Perhaps if he was gone things would be better. Ron and Hermione wouldn't have to worry about him nor would Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. People who blamed him for the war would get what they wanted and it wouldn't affect everyone else too badly. It's not like he had anyone he loves (romantically) to live for either. There's nothing keeping him alive here.
Harry's eyes start drooping and he lies down to sleep and as he closes his eyes he hears a voice.
"Don't think like that." A person is standing at the edge of his bed.
"Think like what?" Harry gets off the bed and reaches for his wand.
"That you would be better off dead." They say. Harry's shocked. Did this person use legumens on him? "No, I'm not using a spell." They answer his unasked question.
"Who are you and why are you here?"
"Oh! I'm sorry, my name's Carden and I'm here to tell you no one would be better off with you dead."
"You don't know that," Harry says.
"Do I? I would assume an angel would know such information." They say with a small amount of sass. Harry looks at Carden. They look around his age. They have red, curly hair that grows to their shoulders and they're wearing dark sunglasses so he can't see their eyes. They're wearing a Queen shirt with light blue jeans, they also wore 3-inch platform boots.
"You don't look like an angel," Harry says skeptically. Carden glares at him, but he can't see due to the sunglasses.
"Oh sorry let me just-" white wings burst out of Carden's back and their eyes start glowing so bright you can see it through their sunglasses.
"So, why are you here?" Harry asks, not quite convinced.
"I'm here because, if you keep thinking you'd be better dead, you won't wake up." They point to the bed. Harry is shocked to find a person in his hospital bed. He jumps back, standing next to Carden. He looks closer to the person in the bed to see it's him.
"Is this supposed to convince me that I should live?" Harry says mockingly.
"Well, I thought it would."
"It didn't."
"Fine, then you won't ever wake up." Carden sighs. Harry looks back at his body and sees that the chest stopped rising and falling.
Madam Pomphrey walks by to check on Harry and notices this as well. She takes out her wand and casts a spell. She then covers her mouth in a gasp and starts to tear up slightly. She closes the curtains around his bed and rushes off.

It's A Wondrous Life (Drarry Fanfic)
FanfictionIf you can't tell this is based on It's A Wonderful Life where Harry wakes up in the hospital wing. He meets the angel Carden (They/Them) and they show him what it would be like if he were to die. This is a drarry fanfic but it's not the main plot...
