Chapter Two, A Sweet Poem

~Momoko's P.O.V~

I slowly unlocked the door to my apartment then opened the door. I sighed in relief as I walked inside and closed the door. I'm so glad to be home. I've been working all day! I'm so excited to get to spend some alone time with brick. "Hey momo!", asuna said as she smiled and waved at me. "Welcome come", kirito said as he smiled. Kirito had longish shaggy black hair with dark blue eyes that actually looked black. He wore a black T-shirt and a pair of black jeans. Asuna and kirito was both sitting on the couch watching TV. They were cuddled up next to each other and kirito had his arm around asuna's shoulders. "Hey guys", I said as I smiled. "Your getting home later than usual? It's like ten o'clock?", asuna said. "They was having a technical problem so I got stuck on set for a while longer than I was supposed to", I said. "That sucks. I'm glad I got to leave before you", asuna said. "Consider yourself lucky", I said as I smiled. "Nope. I'm the lucky one here! Because today was my day off so ha!", kirito said as he smiled. "Your right. Your the lucky one", I said as I laughed lightly. "You work tomorrow though right?", asuna asked. "Yep and I also need to train you two", kirito said. "Again!? We just had a sword fighting class", I said. "Yeah! I'm just as good as you kirito why do I have to be trained by you to?", asuna said. "Because you and momoko match each others strength. And it's always good to practice! It's also easier on both of you when filming because you two will know each others move so you can counteract to there move and make it look like a good fight scene", kirito said. "That makes sense", asuna said. "plus we get to spend time together... And you wielding a sword is pretty hot", kirito said as he smirked. "Oh shush!", asuna said as she blushed. Kirito chuckled as he pulled asuna in for a half hug. "Hey ill see you guys tomorrow. I promised brick I'd spend time with him after I got home", I said. "Ooh I know what that means! You kids have fun!", kirito said as he smirked. "Oh hush! ", I said as I blushed in embarrassment which made kirito laugh. "Okay okay", kirito said as he held up his hands as if he was surrendering. "I'll see you tomorrow", I said as I quickly walked over to the stairs. I waved good bye to kirito and asuna before I jogged up the stairs. Once I was up stairs I walked down the hall to brick and I's room. I slowly opened the door and gasped at the scene. The light was turned off but there was a ton of candles that was lit scattered all over the room. "Aw brick", I said as I smiled. This is the perfect romantics setting! I walked in and closed the door behind me. "Brick this is perf--", I started to say but I trailed off as I seen brick. Brick was asleep laying in our bed. Brick was only wearing his tank top and boxers. Laying next to him was a bouquet of red roses and a card. Aw.. The poor guy must of been tired. I quietly walked over to the bed and sat down next to him. I picked up the roses and held them up to my face. "Mmmm", I hummed as I smelled the roses. They smell so good! I set the roses back down on the bed and picked up the card. The card had a heart on the front. I opened the card to see brick's hand writing, "Roses are red, Violets are blue.. Just kidding! I'm not going to write a corny poem for you. But I want to write what I feel for you. Momoko I love you and only you. You make me so happy. You make my life feel complete. You make me whole! Your my other half. My better half actually. You make my life great. Every morning it fills my heart with joy waking up with you in my arms or you cuddled up against me. You always look so peaceful when you sleep. Some times I wonder what you dream about.. But you some times say my name in your sleep so I know your usually dreaming about me which also warms my heart. Six years ago I couldn't of imagined you in my life. When I thought of you back then I didn't really consider you an enemy since I gave up evil but I knew in your eyes I was the enemy since I was once a villain. But thankfully mojo had a great idea and enrolled us into high school. Thankfully I got to meet you and become friends with you. I couldn't tell you how many times I've replayed our first date over and over again in my head. Playing the arcade machine together.. Me giving you the pink bear and us playing mini golf and how I helped you get a hole in one.. I remember our first kiss. I was so afraid you was going to punch me in the face but surprisingly you kissed me again after I had pulled away to apologize. I know your the right girl for me. I knew that since our first kiss. I look forward to you being my wife. You will be my beautiful bride. Your my beautiful fiancé and I want to remind you how beautiful and how much you mean to me every day. I don't know what I did to deserve you but I'm glad I have you. I love you so much and I have so much more to write but I'm running out of room on this card. I love you momo and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you". I sat the card back down on the bed as my eyes watered then tears ran down my cheeks. "I love you to baby", I murmured as I leaned down and kissed brick softly on the lips. I kissed him again on his cheek then again on his forehead. I sat back up and used my hand to push brick's soft hair out of his face. He looks so handsome laying here. He is so sweet. I want to wake him up and hug him tightly and tell him how much I care for him to. But the poor guy looks so tired. He looks so exhausted. He is going to be mad at me tomorrow for not waking him up but I don't want to disturb him. We have both been pretty busy lately with work so it's really tiring. I sighed as I stood up and grabbed the half folded blanket off the foot of the bed. I quickly used it to cover brick so he wouldn't get cold. I picked up the card and set it down on my night stand. I better go put these roses in a vase with some water so they don't wilt. I picked up the roses then went around the room and blew out all of the candles. After I blew out the last candle I was in total darkness. Oh no.. I should of left one of the candles lit so that way I could see my way to the door. Oh well.. I guess I'll just feel my way to the door. I held out my arm and took slow cautious steps trying to be quiet so I don't wake brick. It didn't take me to long to feel the wall. Could this be the door? I moved my hand around until I found a cold circular metal object which was the door knob. I quickly opened the door and stepped into the hallway. After I closed the door I walked down the hall and to the stairs. I walked down the stairs and turned into the kitchen. Asuna was was sitting on the counter next to the stove as kirito stood in front of the stove cooking a pan of jiffy pop pop corn. Kirito turned and looked at me with a raised eye brow. "Done so soon? That was a quicky huh?", kirito asked as he smirked. "Get your mind out of the gutter kirito... Brick was asleep so I figured I wouldn't wake him", I said as I walked over to a cupboard and pulled out a vase. "Awe he got you roses?", asuna said as she smiled. "Yeah.. Brick really can be sweet when he wants to be", I said as I smiled to. I walked over to the sink and filled the vase with a little bit of water. "He is a pretty good guy", kirito said as he smiled. "He is the best guy I've ever been with.. Well I guess the only guy", I said. "You've only had one boyfriend?!", kirito asked. "Well only one serious one. I dated a guy for a short time in middle school but he was a jerk.. It wasn't serious like brick and I are", I said as I took the plastic wrap off from around the roses. "I never knew that about you and I've known you for like three years now", kirito said. "It's not some thing that I usually talk about", I said. "Your not my type but you are very pretty so you would think a girl like you would of had more boyfriends than just two", kirito said. "It was my choice.. I had been asked to go on dates with guys but usually my dates was always interrupted because some villain was attacking the city.. So I'd have to leave and I could tell it hurt the guys every time I had to bail so I just gave up on it until I met brick again. it was easier with him since we had become a team and we both knew every thing about each other", I said as I put the roses into the vase. "Well I think things worked out perfectly for you in the end", asuna said as she smiled. "It really did. I'm glad I ended up with brick. Who knows what boring life I'd have without him? And I would of never moved here or met you guys. You two are my best friends! Life would be so different if I didn't know you two", I said as I smiled. "I'm glad we met you guys to! Who knows what boring roommates we would of had if you guys didn't move in", kirito said. "I don't think we could of found roommates as good as you two", asuna said as she smiled. "Oh please you two was the life savers. After brick and I moved out here we had no where to go but luckily you two had a roommate ad hanging in the coffee shop. Brick and I filled out so many roommate applications it wasn't funny but you two accepted us so quickly", I said. "Well that was all thanks to asuna", kirito said. "Kirito is right. All I did was read your names and I knew instantly I wanted you two to be our roommates", asuna said. "Really I never knew that?", I said. "Yep.. Since kirito and I both lived in Japan we knew who you guys were. I looked up to you growing up you know", asuna said. "you guys always risked your life to save Japan so we figured we owed it to you guys to give you a home", kirito said. "I knew you guys was from Japan but I never knew that was the reason you guys accepted us", I said as I smiled. "I remember i was so excited. I couldn't wait to meet you guys", asuna said. "Well I'm glad we met", I said as I smiled again. "Oh yeah I almost forgot to tell you. Miyako called today", kirito said. "She did? I haven't talked to her in a while. Was it important?", I asked. "I think she was just calling to talk. I don't think she had anything important to tell you", kirito said. "When are they going to come visit again? Your friends are so fun. I love it when they visit us", asuna said. "Hmm I'm not sure. I haven't really talked to them in a while. We have all been so busy and with the time difference it's hard to find time to talk to each other", I said. "I bet you miss them", kirito said. "I do.. We used to spend every day together", I said. "It must be really hard on you guys not being able to talk to each other a lot. I know you all was very close", asuna said. "Yeah you don't show it very often but when you do I can tell your upset because you miss them", kirito said. "Kirito is right. I notice that some times to but you always hide the fact that your sad. You shouldn't bottle up your emotions you know", asuna said. "I know... I just don't like showing my emotions unless there happy ones or what ever", I said. "Why?", asuna asked. "I don't know.. I guess I don't want to make brick sad. It's weird.. its like we feed off of each others energy so when he is sad then it makes me sad and when I'm sad it makes brick sad", I said. "Well bottling up emotions isn't good for either of you", kirito said. "I'll work on it..", I said. "Meow!", a cat meowed. I looked down to see a fluffy white cat just as it started to rub itself on my legs. "Oh! Hello Gabriel! I haven't seen you all day", I said as I bent down and started to pet the cat. Gabriel is brick and I's cat. We have had him for over a year now. Brick and I had found him in a card board box near our college. Gabriel was a small, very thin and unhealthy kitten when we found him. But luckily we decided to take him to the vet and within a few days Gabriel was doing better and we was able to take him home. We was only going to keep him until he was completely healthy but I became attached and I wanted to keep it. I remember I was on my knees begging brick to let me keep Gabriel but brick said I could keep him as soon as I asked. Brick had laughed at me for begging the way I did but I really thought brick was going to say no so I thought I had to beg! Gabriel is part of the family now. He is the best little kitty ever! "Meow!", Gabriel meowed as he purred and rubbed his head on my hand. "He must of missed you", asuna said. "This is the first time I seen him today", I said as I picked Gabriel up and stood back up. "Meow!", Gabriel meowed as he nuzzled my cheek. "Hehe! I missed you to", I giggled. "Uhh kirito? I think you pop corn is burning?", asuna said as she pointed at kirito's jiffy pop pan. "Oh man!", kirito said as he quickly pulled the jiffy pop pan off the stove. "Hey! Watch it with that thing! You almost burned me with it!", asuna complained. "Yeah right! I would let it burn a hole in my arm before I'd let it burn you!", kirito said. "Aww well don't burn yourself either", asuna said as she blushed a little bit. "I'll try not to", kirito said as he set the pan on the counter and used a fork to poke the foil. "Be carful please", asuna said. "Oww!", kirito yelped as he jerked his hand away from the pan. "I said be carful!", asuna said as she hoped off the counter. "You should use an oven mitt kirito", I said. "That's alright", kirito said. "Alright well I'm gonna go to bed so I will see you guys tomorrow morning or some thing", I said. "Alright good night momo and Gabriel", asuna said as she smiled. "Good night", kirito said. "Good night guys... Please don't burn down the apartment", I said as I started walking over to the stairs. "Oh haha!", kirito said sarcastically. I could hear asuna giggling at kirito. "Good night guys", I said as I giggled and started to walk up the steps.
