Chapter 16: Lets sneak her BACK in

Mirabel is the first to climb out my window then Dolores and finally me, as my feet hit the ground we all begin to quietly jog/run to Y/n's house

I feel my heart begin to beat a bit faster as we get closer to Y/n's house , and it isn't from the running, as we reach it though. Instead of going to Y/n's window we go......straight to the door...?

"Hey Dolores what's Mirabel doing? Shouldn't we go to Y/n's window?" I ask

"Nope! Y/n's family is well aware that we're coming for her, it was kinda a unspoken next step to the plan so Y/n's already waiting for us" Dolores says as I look over at the doors and see Y/n walk out

"Take care of her and is Alma touches her again so help me I'll make your Abuela sees her husband again" Y/n's Abuelo says before Y/n smacks his chest

"He's kidding" She says

They both say their goodbyes before we all begin to walk again, as we walk Dolores and Mirabel take the front and I stay in the back with Y/n

"I told you I'd be back!" Y/n says as she smiles and I melt

"Thank god" I say before I feel her grab my hand

My face heats up and my heart goes haywire but non the less I squeeze her hand back

"It's just hand holding Camilo! What the fuck?! You two have literally kissed in front of everybody! And it was your idea you dumbass!! Alright Camilo just bre—" I think to myself before my thoughts are interrupted by Dolores

"Camilo, breathe. I can hear your heart going haywire" Dolores says and my eyes widen

I hear Y/n stifle a laugh and I look over at her offended

"Seriously!" I say to her and she burst out laughing

"Are you freaking out about us holding hands??" She asks and I feel my face get hotter

"N-No!" I say and mentally smack myself for stuttering

"Awwwww little Camilo's freaking out about hand holding~!" Mirabel says before laughing

"You don't have room to talk Mirabel. You get all red and clamy when you just SEE my cousin Carlos" Y/n says and now it's Mirabels turn to get red

"AwWwWw lItTlE mIrAbEl'S fReAkInG oUt aBoUt SeEiNg CaRlOs~~" I say mimicking Mirabel

"Shut up Camilo!!" Mirabel says as she walks a bit faster

We all laugh as Dolores walks faster to catch up to Mirabel, leaving me and Y/n a few good feet behind them

I look over at Y/n and see she's looking up at the stars, I see the reflection of them in her eyes. As I stare at her my eyes begin to slowly close a little and I feel a goofy smile spreads onto my face

"God she's mesmerizing, why doesn't Abuela like her? She's perfect! The way her hair just naturally flows, how her lips match perfectly with her nose and they both fit perfectly in her face, and her eyes...god her eyes. The way the moonlight just perfectly reflects off of them but so little to where you can still see the stars sparkle in her eyes....." I think to myself as I stare at her before she looks over at me

I quickly look away and look up at the sky when I hear her softly laugh

"Take a picture, it'll last longer" She says before tugging down on my arm, to where I'm her height, and kissing my cheek

"Alright love birds! We're here, now we need to focus!" Mirabel says back to us

Me and Y/n both run up to catch up to Dolores and Mirabel, as we reach them we all decide to sneak Y/n up into my room so that's the window we head to

"Dolores, is Abuela still asleep?" Mirabel asks and Dolores listens before nodding

"Wait....who's gonna let us up?" I ask and Mirabel smirks before nudging Y/n

Y/n reaches into her bag before pulling out a Tucan card and handing it to me, I look at her confused before taking the card. As we both touch the card a light engulfs Y/n and when it dies down a Tucan flies out and up into my room

When the Tucan lands in my room, Mirabel takes the card from me and the Tucan shifts back into Y/n

"Wha-" I begin to ask

"Those two figured out how to get Y/n's gift to work a LONG time ago Camilo" Dolores says as a rope drops down and Dolores begins to climb up

"But isn't there usually a light that comes from our arms?" I ask

"There used to be but that was only before you two kissed, when you two kissed it binded your souls together/ your souls found the other half. So your arms stopped glowing since your souls found each other" Mirabel says before beginning to climb up

"So me and Y/n are soulmates?" I ask

"Yes Camilo! So don't break her heart or else you lost your only chance at love" Mirabel says before she climbs the rest of the way and I begin to climb

As I reach the top I see Y/n already sitting on my bed while Mirabel and Dolores are gone

"Damn did I take that long?" I ask as I pull the rope up

"Eh, Mirabel and Dolores were just tired so they left to go to bed. We got a big say tomorrow" Y/n says as she lays back onto my bed

"Y/n..." I say as I stay by my window

"Hm?" She hums

"Promise me you'll be careful tomorrow, I don't know what you two are doing but..." I say before I feel arms wrap around my waist and hug me

"I promise you Camilo, I'll be careful and when we're done I'll come right back here to you"   Y/n says

I spin around in her arms so that I'm now facing her and I hug her back, burying my face into her neck as always, as I feel her relax into the hug I take that as my chance and pick her up by her waist

She yells softly as I softly throw her down into the bed, I crawl on top of her then plop down. Snuggling up to her

"You're such a child Camilo" Y/n says

"Yup! I know" I say with a smirk

I feel her begin to play with my hair and I feel myself slowly slip into sleep

"I love you Y/n........."
