I never thought I would leave New York. Ever. But here I am in my car 8 hours into the 10 hour drive from New York City to Birmingham, Michigan. My parents hadn't planned to move but since my sister Lauren was already a Junior at MSU and I was a week away from starting my first week of my senior year, plus my dad getting an amazing job offer, they couldn't pass it up.
So that leads us to where I am now. Mom, Dad, and I each took our own cars each packed with luggage so that we could bring it all plus having all three of our cars. I've been listening to basically all of my Spotify playlists and for the last two hours I'm listening to my Taylor Swift playlist. Enchanted comes on and I sing my heart out while I drive down the highway.

We made it to the new house six days ago and now tomorrow is my first day at my new school, Groves. I've spent the last few days unpacking and decorating my new room. My room is in an attic-like space and I am obsessed with it.

Mom took me shopping yesterday to get new clothes since she felt bad that I had to get used to an entirely new school in my last year of high school. I got a few new pairs of jeans and a few tops, but not a lot since I brought all of my clothes from New York.
The past few days here have been chill and I've spent most of them at home getting comfortable and preparing for my first day of school. I'm just super happy that the school year hasn't started yet and that I'm not joining a new school into the semester.
Overall I'm really looking forward to my new school and I can't wait to meet some new friends. Especially with everything that happened last year...
