I woke up to a strange smell, It... was a strong smell that filled my lungs with a heavy feeling and caused me to cough. However the more I coughed the heavier my chest felt ... I heard a rustle outside and I ran out to see what the situation was. My heart dropped in shock to my surprise as my breath quickened to see My parents being attacked by something. But what was it? It didn't look like mother or father.. perhaps it was a bear? No no, it couldn't be a bear it was carrying some sort of grey sharp stick.
I ran out to help Mother but I was pulled back by the arm by another bear and shrieked "GaaH!" It was strong and was able to keep a grasp on me no matter how much I squirmed, however, all I could think of was to sink my teeth into its arm and that's what I did... It screamed in pain as it released its grip on my arm "You little bitch..!" It yelled at me..? I had no idea bears could yell... I heard my mother yell at me "LOKI RUN, I BEG YOU TO RUN! THAT'S NO BEAR!" It was as if she read my mind and I scurried up to go help her but was pulled back by my father and shoved aside to defend me from a blow that would have gone right through my chest.
The cries of my father are something I'll. never. ever. forget. Just then I was grabbed and apprehended onto the grass. "Let me go! Please!" I begged. I had soon figured out what was happening and what had grabbed hold of me, It was a Holy Knight. I heard father speak of them a few times but it was never supposed to be this serious and I was told we were safe here!.. right?... My head was then pushed against the ground and the Holy Knight went into my ear and told me in a stern voice "Listen here brat, I'll give you a choice to pick between that Theif of a mother or your father, You have 5 seconds to choose or your all dead."
I began to shake as I looked at my parent's bodies on the ground who were both bleeding out. "w-why do I have to! I don't want them to die!- Don't kill them!.." I said as my breath quickened with fear as tears began to build up in my eyes. Before I even got a chance to finish he snapped at me "SHUT UP, PICK ONE BEFORE I CHANGE MY MIND!"
I couldn't stop shaking and looked at my two parents and mumbled my answer. "SPEAK UP." He hit the back of my head.
It hurt a lot but I spoke up and raised my voice "I CHOOSE MY MOTHER!" I yelled at the Holy Knight. I chose wrong as he let me go and pinned me down to the ground and infused his blade with a sort of lightning magic and slashed my left thigh with it. I let out a blood-curdling scream. It was hot and burned my leg..! Why did it hurt so much?! I cant feel my thigh! I screamed again in pain but then. I soon noticed it was bleeding and crawled over to my mother and she whispered to me fairly quickly and fast worded in a quiet panic. "Loki Odinium listen to me and listen to me closely... I'm going to die here soon as well as your father is going to die and I want you to run away from here and do not EVER come back to this awful place." She finished placing the pendant she wore around her neck and kissed my forehead as her body went cold and I began to cry as I was scooped up by non-other than Twilight and began to get out of the forest which had begun to catch fire, the flames spread quickly and it's as if they were chasing us out of the place I once knew as home. "I'm scared! Where are we going!?" I cried as I hugged Twilights neck in fear. I ended up passing out on his back because of the amount of smoke in my lungs.
soon after we got further enough away I woke up and this was the first time I've ever seen the night sky and I couldn't stop wondering why Mom's body went cold as ice. "Twilight?" I asked him with a curious expression on my face.
"What is it? " he replied to me
"why did momma go cold?". It was like his heart dropped for a moment and then he responded to me "Friggs not waking up, She's dead." Tears began to fill my eyes and I began balling my eyes out. Just like that, I was an orphan.
Twilight and I travelled for a while with me being carried on his back until my leg healed enough I could walk on it. But I thought that it would heal completely like a paper cut. But I was wrong... it scarred my leg. I'm lucky it didn't impact my ability to walk tho...
