The wizarding world was in ruins. Yes, they had won the war, however, standing upon the graves of so many people they held dear, they thought again. Had they really won?
Harry knew what had to be done. He wanted her back. He also missed his sister, in everything but blood, whom he never got to apologise to. He hated how so many young kids would grow up the way he did, parentless. Some would grow up sibling-less or uncle-less. He blamed himself for all the lives that were lost.
Hermione knew what Harry was thinking and as risky as it was, it would help them a great deal. So many things could be undone if they go through with this.
Ron was ready to do whatever it takes to undo the curse that is this result of war.
And so they set off on a journey only one could imagine. A journey far more adventurous and emotional than the one they had ever been on. A journey to seek atonement.
The Great Hall, 1976
James Potter stared starry-eyed at his current girlfriend who was sitting across him, having a discussion on some play he had never heard of with his friend, Remus Lupin. Both the students seemed engrossed in the conversation that they were having on William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. To be honest, it was less of a discussion and more of a bitching session. The two were expressing their hate for Claudio and were also repeatedly exclaiming how stupid he was.
Amaris Fay's current new book enemy was Claudio because of his sheer lack of common sense. She could feel her boyfriend's gaze on her and so she looked up to see him staring lovingly at her. She smiled softly at him, her cheeks burning red from a natural blush James would bring every time he looked at her. James extended his hand and took her hand in his hand. He loved to play with her fingers and entangle his own fingers into her soft and freshly-moisturised ones. Amaris let James play with her fingers while continuing her 'discussion' with Remus.
Sirius Black was, believe it or not, sitting at the gryffindor table with his nose stuck in a book. Amaris had gifted him Cinderella on Christmas last year and him not being a big fan of books, had not read it unit now. He was super into the whole evil step-mother trope of the book. He loved hating on Lady Tremaine and had screamed pretty loudly in the great hall when she made Cinderella a house-maid. Well, loud enough for all of the other houses to hear him too.
On the other end of the great hall sat Regulus Black. He was peacefully eating his food while also talking to Barty Crouch Jr. and Severus Snape about poisons for some reason. He had heard the shriek from the gryffindor table and immediately knew who it was. His brother. His only brother. The boy he would never in his wildest dreams, think of replacing with someone else as the other did with James Potter. Regulus missed his brother despite always claiming he did not. Maybe it was to seem strong or move towards forgetting his brother but he always claimed he did not miss him or love him for he was a 'filthy blood-traitor'. He knew his family didn't care that Sirius was in gryffindor but Sirius had severed all ties with them that one horrid night of 1975. His parents had never thought of disowning Sirius no matter how many times they would scold him. They still wanted him to be the heir to the Black family but were left disappointed and heartbroken. Same with Andromeda. Everything had happened so quickly that nobody realised when these two children went way. Nobody got the chance to grasp onto them one last time.
There was a loud bang noise at the front of the great hall and many figures stood there looking rather disheveled. The one with untamed hair and glasses stepped forward. "Good afternoon. My name is Harry Potter and I am from the future, the year 2000 to be exact". Murmurs arose as everyone started whispering to their friends about this boy from the future. "Silence!", Dumbledore's voice boomed across the great hall. "We could take veritaserum if you like. We really are telling the truth", a brunette with almost bushy haired spoke up. "That seems reasonable. Accio veritaserum.", Professor McGonagall replied, rather calmly for the situation.
