Sasha and the Sundews

"MONSTER!!" Sasha heard as she watched a weird blue frog ran off out of the woods.

Last time she checked, frogs could NOT talk. 'What the hell is going on' she thought. She started wandering through the woods until her leg hit something shorter than her. She prayed that when she looked down it wouldn't be some other frog that carried diseases.

She slowly looked down, her face getting extremely pale. Her eyes darted down to a yellow frog with... hair. Something is DEFINITELY wrong because frog DON'T have HAIR.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! EW EW EW!" She swatted away the frog from her legs. The frog started screaming eventually too. 'Why is this puny thing so scared? IM THE ONE WHO JUST TOUCHED A FROG.'

"WHAT ARE YOU??" The small frog shouted.    "WILL YOU BE QUIET?" Sasha shouted over her.

The frog took a deep breath and composed herself.

"Ok. What are you and where did you come from? I've never seen anything like you in Wartwood before."

"I'm Sasha Waybright, I'm from Los Angeles. And what the hell is Wartwood?"

"Where I live? We're like... right next to it." She points to a sign.

"Ok, no need to act smart." Sasha rolled her eyes and started walked toward Wartwood with the yellow frog following her.

"Anyway, who are you? And why can you talk?" Sasha asked the frog without turning to her.

"Im Ivy Sundew! And... that's a weird question." the confused frog said.

"Whatever. Hopefully there's some food in this Wartwood place."

"The food's pretty good!" Ivy started speeding up to walk next to Sasha. "Especially fly soup!" she smiles.

Sasha stops. She slowly turns her head.

"Flys...?" Her face goes green. Right, their frogs. Maybe going to this place wasn't the best idea. She didn't have much of an option, though.

-

Soon enough their in Wartwood with a bunch of crazed townspeople trying to kill Sasha. Well, that definitely isn't something she's experienced before.

She kicks the frogs out of her way and runs away from them, she stops behind some house, picking the grass and leaves from her hair. Once she gets ahold of those frogs she is going to bash all of their hea-

Suddenly the yellow frog jumps into her hair she just fixed. She decides that she cannot handle this anymore. She starts shaking and throws the dumb frog off her head.

"Can you... LEAVE ME ALONE? I JUST GOT ATTACKED BY A BUNCH OF FUCKING FROGS!"     the blonde said.

Then another yellow frog with a ginger braid ran in front of the smaller frog with a stick presumably to fight off Sasha with.

Sasha rolled her eyes. 'Wow, the things mom is here now. That's such great timing. Aren't I lucky?'

"Stay back, BEAST!" The frog yelled at her, inching the very threatening stick closer to her.

'Okay, this might have been the wrong approach.'' Sasha deeply sighed, putting her hands up in defeat. She could not believe she was worried about getting attacked by a frog.

"Okay, Okay. Please put down the stick. I'm not here to hurt you, I'm just lost and need somewhere to stay." she calmly spoke.

"How do we know you won't eat us?!? How I know you aren't trying to eat my daughter!"

"I know that your scared, but I promise you, I am not violent. Just give me a chance..." she soothed.

The neatly dressed frog slowly dropped her stick, and then put her hands onto her hips.

"Okay... well, where did you come from?" She cautiously asked.

"Los Angeles. Me and my friends opened this weird box and it took me here, I'm not sure where they are." she darkly stated.

"Do you have the box?" The younger frog asked excitedly.

"No... I don't know where it went." She sighed, sliding down the wall of the house.

The frogs went beside her, looking intently at her. They looked scared, but Sasha didn't really care if they feared her. She just didn't want to get beat up again.

"Well..." Ivy started, darting her eyes to her mother. "Maybe you could stay with us!" She smiled.

"WHAT? No way. I don't even know what this thing is!" The mother scolded.

"Come oooon..." Ivy begged. "Being an only child is sooooo lonely, and she's so cool!" Ivy exclaimed.

     The mother sighed.

"You are in charge of her, if anything happens to you or anyone in the town she will be kicked right out. Do you hear me young lady?" She stomped her foot down.

"Yup!" Ivy hopped up high, skipping to their home. "C'mon Sasha!" She urged.

Sasha and Ivy's mother followed her. Sasha smiled a bit. 'At least I have shelter now.'

    -

Sasha turned on her mattress, not being able to sleep. Once she almost did, she always woke up in a cold sweat.

She reached into her bag and grabbed the picture of her friends. She smiled.

     "I miss you." she sighed.
