Vampire Next Door

Chapter 1

It was a chilly autumn morning in Meonxe, a city in Boston. The breeze blowing through the golden leaves that decorated the pavement and steps to the old building. Inside one of those buildings lived a girl known as Juliet. Juliet was fast asleep however her phone begun blaring waking her from her dreams. Her brows frowned as she groaned and pulled the cover off herself and made her way over to her dresser to get dressed for the day. Juliet looked at herself in the mirror next to her dresser before getting dressed. Her raven hair an unruly mess on her head and sleep still evident in her eyes.

Juliet had changed from her pajamas and into a pair of jeans, a long sleeve shirt with character from a show she liked on the front and put on her father's old dog tags, she had also tried to fix her unruly hair, but her efforts had made no difference. Juliet had one last look at her reflection before leaving her room, making her way to the kitchen. Upon entering the room, she went straight for the fridge to grab herself something to eat as well as a sugary drink to try and wake herself up. There was a note attached to the fridge, taking the note she looked at what was written.

"Hi, my angel I had to go into work early and I won't be back until late, but I hope you have a great day at school. Remember no more fights.

-Love mama P.S I left money for take out when you come home."

Juliet smiled at the note from her mother before placing it on the counter, grabbed a can of grape soda, and some left over take out and popped it in the microwave. Juliet had grabbed some pet food as well and set the bowl down for her companion Captain, Captain is a very small ferret no bigger than a kitten even though he is fully grown. Captain came running through the doorway as soon as he heard the bowl touch the ground.

"Wow are you THAT hungry?" Juliet asked Captain knowing she wouldn't get a real response other than him munching on their food. Juliet had grabbed her food from the microwave and ate as well before walking towards the front door taking off her house slippers, putting on a pair of sneakers, grabbed her backpack by the door and her keys as well before leaving the apartment and made her way down and out the main doors. She shivered at the breeze before popping in her ear buds blasting music from them and made her way towards the school.

Juliet sighed as she looked at the school before opening the doors and walked into chaos, teens were being bullied, some getting slammed into lockers. She rolled her eyes before scampering down the corridor to get away from the chaos. Sitting down next to the door of her first class of the day, she leaned her head back against the wall closing her eyes. Juliet jumped as someone grabbed her shoulder.

"Jesus Sami!" Juliet said as she glared at her friend, her hand over her beating heart.

"Sorry Julie" Sami said as he held his hands up in surrender.

Juliet rolled her eyes as Sami helped her off the ground and they made their way into the classroom as the bell rang out.

Juliet looked down at the test paper in front of her, Juliet never liked math to begin with and it seemed that math never liked her either, Juliet looked over at Sami silently begging for help, Sami seemed to understand the look as they scooted the paper slightly so Juliet could see it as well.

The class ended and the teens rushed out and made their way down the hallway to meet up with their friend Medusa.

"God Mrs Forrest hates me I swear!" Juliet groaned as she scratched at the back of her head.

"I think you're overreacting Julie" Sami said as they shook their head.

Juliet just sighed and stuffed their hands in their jean pockets as they walked to the meet up spot but stopped dead in their tracks.

"I'm gonna kill em" Juliet said, venom dripping from every word.
