What happens to a bunny when it becomes handicapped? It can not crawl. It can not walk. It can not limp to a better outcome. It is rendered useless because it can no longer live in its existential nature. To hop!
As I laid on the ground with blood coming out of my mouth, I saw the image of the bunny on the tile and was reminded of how ironic it was for me to be laying in this position.
"Get up boy! Go home! You lost."
I slowly shifted my body toward the sound and came face to face with a man in a dark robe.
Mr. Gokumi please. Give me one more chance."
I coughed up blood on Mr. Gokumi's expensive shoes and a look of disgust flashed across his face.
"Agazuki Yoshisai. I don't understand why you're so hell bent on killing yourself. This is your fifth time entering this game. It's clear you don't have what it takes to compete. Why don't you just quit?"
I got on my feet and wiped the blood from my mouth.
"This is all I have Mr. Gokumi. I'm all alone in this world. I have no family. I failed out of every school you can name. I'm an outcast in this world. If I can't prove myself here, then I have nothing left to prove in this world."
Mr. Gokumi checked his watch and sighed.
"At the rate you're going kid, you'll be dead soon. Then you'll really have nothing left. Is that what you want?"
I licked the blood around my lips and smiled.
"It sure is."

*The following day*

It felt like every bone in my body had shattered as I was flung from one end of the fighting stage to the other.
"You just don't get it kid. You're not a competitor."
I coughed up blood and stared up at the muscular fighter with his shirt off. His name was Higamo Kiyonokoji of South Village. He had a reputation for being extremely sadistic. Normal men wouldn't fight him once, let alone three times.

I tried to catch my breath, but barely had time before Kiyonokoji began pulling the rope that connected our legs.
"Well kid, looks like you've reached the end of your rope."
Kiyonokoji threw a punch so hard that I was sent to the farthest end of the 10x10 stage. The only thing saving me ironically was the rope that kept us together. It acted as a rubber band, jerking my body back onto the stage before I could fall out.
"Hurry up and cut us loose. This fights over." Kiyonokoji said to an official while he had his back to me.
"Wait!"
Everyone in the stands gasped when they heard my voice. The audience surely thought that I was incapacitated. Even Kiyonokoji wore a look of surprise.
"This fight is far from over Kiyonokoji."
I stood on my feet and gave my opponent a sinister grin.
"Well I'll give you this kid, you sure have guts. Your fighting spirit is admirable, but unfortunately for you this fight was over before it began. How about we make a deal? We have 10 seconds before our tiles change. I'll stand here and let fate decide if I draw a bunny. If I don't, you have to throw yourself out of the ring and let me win."

30 minutes later

"We should get him to a doctor. He's in really bad shape." Uzoro hunched over and gasped over the mans injuries.

(Uzoro Kiminako- 4th year student at Kurume senior high school. Personality- loving and caring. Sees the best in everyone around her. Sometimes a little to nice and naive for her own good. Very intelligent and hyper vigilant about her future)

"I don't think there's anything we can do for this boy. I think he's probably a drunk and got himself beat up. There's not much we can do for lowlifes like him."
Uzoro shook her head at her boyfriend and removed her small jacket.
"It's funny, when we first started dating I never knew you could be so heartless Riyoshi. If you won't help this boy, then I will."
My vision slowly returned and I saw two figures standing in front of me. One was a young girl with long flowing, light pink hair. She had hazel eyes and had the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen. I could have sworn I'd seen her somewhere before, but I couldn't remember where.
"For the last time Uzoro, there is nothing you can do for this boy. Now let's get out of here before someone robs us." A tall man standing next to the girl spoke. This man was wearing a brown business suit and had on a pair of thick, square glasses. As I studied the man, I felt myself getting hoisted into the air and onto the shoulders of the young girl.
"Jesus lady! Work out often?" I said with a small laugh, obviously impressed by her strength.
For a second the girl turned me around and I came face to face with the man in the suit. I casually flipped him off and the look he gave me almost made me laugh out loud. The girl gently laid me down in the back of a Honda Civic and shut the door.
"Uzoro! Where the hell do you think you're going with my car? You can't leave me here. I'll be stranded!"
Uzoro put on a pair of all black gloves and rolled her window all the way down.
"You should of thought about that before being a jackass."
Uzoro winked at the man before flooring the gas pedal and driving us away.
