Chapter 1: The Bright Light

You're a normal girl reading a book called "The Hobbit" one Christmas night. By a miracle you get into the world of the Hobbit and get to know the characters you just imagined.

Arrival in Middle Earth

I'm sitting on my sofa by the window and look outside. Thick snowflakes are falling from the sky and have already covered everything. I hear the fire crackling and take another sip of my hot cocoa before I go back to my favorite book "The Hobbit". Suddenly the book started to light up and everything went white.I felt something grab my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes. Sunlight blinded me and I had to blink several times to get my eyes used to the light. An elderly man with long gray hair, a beard and a gray hat leaned over me. "What is that one elf doing all alone here under a tree?" I shook my head to get rid of the strong throbbing. I sat up. I was sitting under a big tree in the forest. Only now did I recognize the person who had kindly woken me up. I couldn't believe my eyes. "Gandalf ?!" He smiled at me "Yes, that's me. And who are you?" "Uh ... y / n. I must be dreaming!"He hit me lightly on the head with his stick, "Ouch why are you doing this?" "Do you see you are not dreaming." He grinned at me. "But how can that be me ... it's all just a story ... I can't really be here." He looked at me confused. "What do you mean, it's just a story? I know Elves have huge collections of books, but you seem to have hit your head quite a bit." "I ... wait a minute ..." I pulled my ears very slowly and froze. "My ears are pointy! And ..." I looked down at my hair. You are long and blonde. "My hair has changed." Gandalf looked at me worried and confused. "You are an elf, of course you have pointy ears." I couldn't believe my ears. "I ... I'm an elf ?! So a real elf ?!" "I think you should see a healer. I can take you with me. I want to go to Rivendell anyway." I nodded and he helped me to my feet. "That means that Rivendell really exists." He nods. We got on his horse together. Strangely, I do this very easily and it feels like I've been able to ride for years, even though this was my first time.
