First off, I'd just like everyone to know that this story will not be accurate with the books. Though some characters will portray the same personality that was given to them in the books I may alter others.
The timeline will most definitely be mixed up so do not assume something will happen a certain way because it did in the books. Remus Lupin, Severus Snape and anyone else that was meant to be the same age as them (Sirius, Peter, James, Lily, etc.) will be as old as they would have been in Philosopher's Stone (book one) making most of them 31.
My reason for this being I'd like the age gap between Lana and Remus to not be so drastic. NOW as for the name of the OC. Throughout my entire time reading fanfiction I have only encountered the same names repetitively. (Aurora, Lily, Lizzie, Amelia, Luna, Ella, Celeste, Grace, Bella) As lovely and beautiful as those names are, I'd like to see something new.
If you agree, then great. If you don't then that's fine and to each their own. Feel free to leave more, new names even if it is your own and I'll attempt to possibly use them throughout the story or in new stories.
Back to the story details itself-- Draco and his friends, Pansy, Theo, Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle are (as of the beginning of the book) 6th years, as is Lana. Everyone else will be the same age they were at the beginning of Goblet of Fire.
This is where is gets different because that would make Harry's parents teen parents. Whoopdeedoo. It happens sometimes, it's fine.
Lana is Slytherin. The title, Serpentine is used to not only describe her cunningness as a person but the complexity of the story.
To sum everything up;
- Adults are the ages they were in Philosopher's Stone
- Draco, his friends, and Lana are 6th years
- Every other student are the ages they were in Goblet of fire
This story does not surround the Goblet of fire. This story does not surround any book. It will simply be pieces of different books combined, focusing on the life of Lana.
