Serene POV My finals finished a week ago and I've been spending my time catching up on sleep.Meanwhile the rest of my peers have been living it up, going to all different kinds of parties,beach festivals,lunch and dinner dates,vacations. As much as I enjoy my own company and being an introvert,at times I do crave to be a socialite and a little bit more outgoing.
I sighed as I kept seeing everyone's posts on the gram,showcasing how much of a lit summer they are all experiencing. My sulking session got interrupted by a text coming through.

Knowing I take a long ass time to get ready, I immediately jumped up and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower.
An hour later....
While I was doing the last touch ups on my hair, I heard loud obnoxious honking outside my apartment followed by...
"Serene bring your ass!" I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag checking if I got everything. I checked myself out in the mirror one last time,once I was satisfied with what I was seeing I made my way out the door.
My face gleamed with a smile once I saw his car but it quickly turned into a mug once I saw who was occupying the passenger seat. I sighed and got in the backseat.
"Wassup girl I haven't seen you in a while." She turned around in her seat giving me a fake smile I just gave her a head nod and said "Wassup Alexis." Followed by me turning my attention to my phone instead.Chris immediately turned up the music in the car to avoid awkwardness knowing I'm not fond of her and started driving.
When we got to a red light he finally glanced up at me "Uh uh where dafuq your shirt at?". He asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"Christopher please don't start." I said followed by a sigh.
"Yeah bae leave her alone,she's grown she can show a lil skin off if she want to." ...I internally rolled my eyes at her annoying voice and her attempt to defend me.
"You're lucky we too far out from your crib or I would've turned back and made you change." He said while shaking his head and continuing to drive.
I just ignored him and stared out the window.
After 15 more minutes we finally arrived at the beach.When we pulled up in the parking lot, I got happy as hell seeing that the rest of the squad was here too.At least I will have company now and not spend my day third wheeling.
As soon as the car stopped I immediately got out and ran up on Aug jumping on him, fortunately for me he catched me.
"Look who's finally out the house."...he said with a chuckle while adjusting me properly in his arms.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too mama." He said followed by him kissing me on the side of my head and putting me down.
