"Star, wake up!" Amber shouted looming over Star.

"I'm here! I'm alive!" Star cried flailing her paws.

Amber smiled briefly. She dropped an apple at Star's paws. Star gave the apple a blank stare.

"Do you know how to hunt?" Star said blankly.

Amber flicked her gaze to the wall paintings. She gave Star a bleak nod.

"Of course I do," Amber mewed.

"Well, then why don't you go get some fresh kill?"

Amber glanced down at her paws. She lashed her tail angrily.

"I-I can't," Amber hissed, teeth clenched.

Star flickered her eyes toward Amber's paws. She noticed something odd. Amber's claws were missing.

"Amber your claws!" Star cried.

Amber blushed and looked away she nudged the apple closer to Star.

"Hurry and eat, we're going somewhere."

Star clenched the apple between her jaws. She slowly stood up and gave Amber a small glare.

"I'll eat along the way," Star mewed simply.

Amber sighed and gave Star a little nod. They both trotted out the caves. Star looked up into the sky. Still no sun.

"Amber, do you see the sun?"

"Now that you mention it, no..." Amber gaped.

Star sighed and kept along the path. She blinked then looked back up.

Oh no.

This was wrong.

So wrong.

The stars.

Were out with the sun.

Star stopped. Her paws skidding on the ground. The sun was out... but so were the stars!

"AMBER! AMBER! LOOK!" Star shouted.

Amber glanced up in the sky. She stopped and stared in awe. Star shook her head.

"This must be a dream," Star hissed.

Amber suddenly lifted her paw, and swiped at Star's head.

Star woke with a start. He claws were digging into the grass and some orange clumps of fur were wedged between them. She looked at herself for a second, then realized that she was bigger, older, and stronger.

"Where am I? How long was I out for?" She thought she was asking herself, but a voice replied.

"I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry... This- this is my fault. All my fault," A cat was hunched over before Star. She padded up to the cat and sat next to her.

"Hello? Are you OK?"

The tom turned his head and bared his teeth at Star.

"Get the hell away from me! You don't know who I am or what I've done," He hissed.

Star backed up. "But what am I doing here?"

The tom sighed. "Your sister. Why did she do that... She knows something I don't."

Star shook her head and threw her memory back to as far as she could remember. She never remembered having a sister. What was this crazed cat talking about?

"What? My sister?"

Then it dawned on her. She did remember someone that cared for her, treated her like family.
