He told me I was pretty. That my eyes shine brighter than the Georgia stars. I didn't believe him. How much did he really know me?

I remember staying by him all summer long. It's not summer anymore...

We don't keep in touch these days. He did break my heart after all... I have a message I want to give to him. He blocked my number, so I can't call him and tell him; I can't even text it to him. I tried sending him a letter that first week in September. It was covered in dried up tears. I didn't know if I should tell him how miserable I had been. So I ripped up the letter and threw it in the trash.

Those words I write on that letter were etched in my head for months. I finally got up the courage to send it to him. I'm standing on his doorstep, the envelope in my hand.

It read:

Dear Drew,

Do you still think about me? Do the new Tim McGraw songs on the radio remind you of my favorite song? Remember how we danced to it that night in July? I remember... The moon shined brightly atop the lake, reminding me of my first ever show on stage. Does happiness remind you of that little black dress I wore that night we did it for the first time? Does happiness remind you of when I'd rest my head on your chest and snuggle up closer to you? Does happiness remind you of those jeans I wore? The old faded blue ones, which I'd worn the first day we met.

I hope you think of me,

                                   Taylor
